I'm rather fond of the Generals soundtrack too.
A good soundtrack is one which you don't notice (except at a subconcious), it blends seamlessly with everything else going on in your head while you play.

Too cute! | Server Status: If you can read this, it's up |Well, when it comes to writing an expository essay about counter-insurgent tactics, I'm of the old school. First you tell them how you're going to kill them. Then you kill them. Then you tell them how you just killed them.

It's not offten you find a mod with music, even though it's so important. It seems that people just don't think about it.
Many people use the excuse that it's too big to download. This can be overcome with seperate downloads or compressd music. As it's music and not sounds it does not have to be 3D/stero, this saves some file space.
Music is needed for any single-player mod to set the mood. In mult-player it can be used at the start and end to set a conflict begining mood and an end of war victory/fail.
