my dad is too busy with everything else. i like gardening, its quite relaxing lol, but ofc i prefere doing other things.

I've done my share of gardening and landscaping... I own my house... I have 3 acres, mostly wooded with a creek in the back. Its mine... so I do the work on the yard.

Between now and the next polished release there should be very little new art work done. Instead the focus is on designing, testing, and fixing. the mod has always been so close to finished that its nearly criminal. I'd love to see this through to the end with a real community effort.

lol you rich bitch ^_^
got a swimming pool aswell?

i like how you said "I own my own house". that had me laughing, why wouldnt you ? i wouldnt expect you to live in a box or in your mums basement, or have "illegally" aquired it by killing the people previously inside it and moving in lol

at the back of our garden, there is about 150-200 acres of field.....goes on for miles. great for quad bikes and dirt bikes alike. i think it is public fileds, but you only get the occasional dog walker here and there

:p at one point.... yeah. ^_^
I'm not rich though, we simply lived in a low cost of living area. that house (baught 6-7 years ago) was 70K$... the same house in Orlando now costs about 300K$.

i like how you said "I own my own house". that had me laughing, why wouldnt you ? i wouldnt expect you to live in a box or in your mums basement, or have "illegally" aquired it by killing the people previously inside it and moving in lol

actualy it made me laugh that someone said they help their mother with the gardening. Its been almost 10 years sense I lived with my parents.

thats always cool. Back home in NorthCarolina (where we own our house) we owned 3 acers, but it was in tiny mini-comunity in the middle of the woods, so it was very similare. For several miles in every direction there was little more than forest and a periodic road, or another mini-comunity.

well, im 16, so i should be living with my parents. am i fuck goning to get my own house with out any job. i still have 6th form college to go to before University
i love being independant, but i cant drive or havent got a job yet so it would be pointless.

houses in the USA are so god dam cheep.
our house ( a 3 bed roomed house, a fairly small kitchen, a front room, a small bathroom, and a fairly lage back room/dining area (and the fairly big garden- in the UK it is classed as big any way) cost 300,000 POUNDS.
no acres of land, no swimming pool. and the house was in a bad condition when we braught it. most of the rooms have been done up now.

so your living in North Carolina now then Pend?
i wish i lived in the Staes, the houses are good quality and cheep.

I live in Orlando right now, but I still own my house in NC.

In the City the 300K house your talking about is a very normal price here (even after pounds vs dollars). the farther you move away from the major cities the cheaper it gets. what I baught for 70K 6 years ago is now worth about 125K. but thats in the country, where we have trees and farms... That price where I live in Orlando is about 300K (more than double) and in an area like Conneticut or Newyork (state, not city) that price could easily hit 500K or 600K... btw, all those prices asume no land... unless your in the country,, then you get 3-5 aceres easily.

I have to help my mom when she needs it, she has got something wrong with her shoulder and shes waiting for surgary to get it fixed, something like some of the musles are ripped or something.
And well i can help her or I get an ear full of her bitching and saying how she near killed herself from the pain doing whatever it is she was doing.

lol....

but over in the UK house prices are a rip off.
look at this picture from google maps...this is my road and house (the red border part) and the area of public woods/fields at the back, which is ideal for dirt bikes etc. the house is a semi-detached house aswell.
Posted Image

this is the area of public field/woods
Posted Image

our small house and relativly big garden (in the UK any way) cost £300,000, and it is near a large town. but the road is fairly quiet. it is about 30 mins away from London by tube and about 40 mins by car.

i think it is WAY too expensive.
it would be interesting to see your house(s) from google maps pend as a comparison

Another major factor is "How much land is available??" Most of Europe has recorded history going back no less than 2000 years (several thousand more in some areas). Theres very few places that have not been utilized for something. While the US has a meager 400 years of history and a lump of land nearly as large as all of Europe. Only 15% (give or take some) of the land in the US has actualy been used. that leaves 85% as untouched even by Agriculture.

that has a very serious impact on land value. The only reason prices in the US get as high as they do is becuase most people want to live around the cities. The farther you go away from the major cities the cheaper it gets, but unlike England, we have places that are actualy near nothing. Those super low values deflate the cost peaks around most cities.

however, if you look NewYork City downtown Manhattin(sp?) the prices are in a different leage. a 10x15 ft parking space sells for 300,000$ or more. thats not even a house or condo... just a private parking spot, and not even a nice one.

i would love to live in the US in Florida or something, for such a cheap price, you can get a decent detached house, a swiming pool, air conditioning and quite alot of land.

Florida isn't cheap, thats where I live now... I hate it. The Carolinas, Georga, Alabama, Kentucky are all much much cheaper. les than half the price of florida.

here's the catch... if you can get it that much for that cost (and there ARE places you can) you CAN'T get a job that would pay for it. Cost of living varries greatly in the US, but the lower the cost of living the lower the pay as well. And, the lowest cost of living areas are because there is a complete lack of industry in many areas. Unless you want to be a farm hand you can't find any work at all in some areas... and at that pay you'll never afford even a 100K home.

More realisticly, the house you described can be baught for about 200K-250K in a semi-rural area about 35-55 miles from most cities in the south east US.

It's all good and fine that seeker drones could kick a fafnirs arse but the fafnir looks so kikass! and usualls if your U.S.A you jusy build tonnes of supply drop zones untill you have a giant cash flow by tech level 3.

Yer but mass hordes don't always work, Build the same about of warmasters you can get wfor the cost of 1 chimira and attack.
The chimira "might" die but your army would be crushed all the same as you would have lost over half your units if not all and any remainly units would be cleaned up via defence sites or any other defending units little tanks or tank hunters or such.
Basicly sure u can get mass numbers of units but a mass number wont always win u do need some bigger units for support.

yes i know but chimras and such get i think auto loaders or should get autoloaders as they are tanks after all.
But even still the bigger tanks may cost more but they can still put a nasty dent in any attack force u send, as i said and pends agreed an attack force is better to have small units more cost effective but u should stil tack a bigger tank or artill for support.
