I also don't like it when the adjective 'epic' is overused. In primary schools it shall join 'nice' and 'said' as words to be avoided.

Bone to pick: Said is not a bad word. In most cases, it actually helps smooth things along, as the reader tends to ignore the word 'said'. What's worse is an overuse of other verbs coupled ridiculously with adverbs.

"Yes, I am," Stan grimaced thoughtfully.
"But why?" Sue sobbed mournfully.
"It doesn't matter, don't ask me!" Stan screamed angrily.

Your characters should have enough life in them that the reader should be able to tell without your help how they would say or do something. ^That up there just seems corny and forced.

Anyway...

Avatar - 7: I like it, not too complex to take in but still obviously an eye.
Signature - 8: Pretty sweet, except that Leader and Head PR is a bit difficult to read, and I don't know what's going on with your quote there.

Yoda, Yoda, Yoda... I never indicated that either 'said' or 'nice' were bad. Rightly or wrongly, the use of those words are discouraged in primary schools (the lion was our deterrent at primary school). I indicated that I hated the word 'epic', which should be another word to be discouraged, irrespective of the justification for 'said' and 'nice'.
So yeah.

Even Tolkien used "said", Puppeteer.

Avatar: 7/10. Good picture.
Signature: 7/10. Good quote, good name, bit empty-lookin'.

Dudes, Puppeteer was just telling you all what they teach in primary school. Little kids are told not to use 'said' all the time when writing, so it doesn't look like this:

"Oh no!" said Dave.
"What's going on?" said Steve.
"I don't know, but it's not good," said Dave.
"Bummer," said Graham.
"Hell yeah," said Steve.

At no point was Puppeteer denigrating the use of any form of the verb 'to say'. Is this now suitably clarified?
I hope I am a good enough writer that some day dwarves kill me and drink my blood for wisdom.

Av 6/10 ~ Dark, confused, and indiscernable... yet somehow stylish.
Sig 2/10 ~ Well... first you have two Puppeteer userbars for the same thing, only one of which has a link, then you have a facebook bar that's practically unreadable, then you have a DirecTV bar (pointless) and then you have a Revora User bar. That gets two points. As for the link... well, glorious is an adjective that you should wait for someone else to post on your work, lest you seem hubristic. :p

Signature: 5: I like the TEA signature, but the other bars are appalling.
I made a new signature - my profile wasn't green enough. I decided to... spruce... it up a bit. Oh ho ho!
Plus I wanted to defy the quote beneath it, in a more literal meaning of one of the words.
