Poll: Concept idea

Would having some minifaction units have limited number but cost no CP be a good idea?

I was thinking of a way to make mini factions independent from the main army yet different and very useful. I have thought about powerful and limited number but perhaps some of the weaker ones could have limited number and cost no CP (like AOE 3 natives) Sorry, if this has been talked about before.

I'd say maybe...

Some units could work very well for this, although some might've worked bad...
Still, I don't think it's going to be in the mod, for an units... That's what I think though, I'm not sure what the rest wants  It's just that, if you fill up your army with the best you can, and add some extra elite units with no CP constrictions... you could get a long way :p
If there's like, 5 MF plots on the map... then you would really really own the field if you controll them all... You'd have a double army already then...

There could be a limited total not just limit linkage to the number of buildings. Is cave transport in BFME I this or perhaps a defensive or recourse aspect could give the building itself meaning.

I have made mercenaries in BFME 2. Low cost, fast build time but limited duration like summoned units.

Another idea maybe not as good is to make some units not buildable but generate slowly over time (with a max amount of course)

I think I might have mentioned this ages and ages ago, but what if having more mini-faction buildings increased the overall command point limit by, say, 25-40? I'm not trying to force this idea onto you guys, I'm just looking for your thoughts on it. :p

Edit: by the way, I can't get onto the site for some reason. Every time I try it comes up with 'Internet Explorer cannot open the internet site http://www.rhovanionalliance.net/
Operation aborted'. Would you guys have any reason as to why?

i like this idea, mostly because i like to think of the minfactions more as allies rather than part of your main army

I like the idea, but I was originally in love with the idea of building complete armies of minifaction units before hand. But if the Modding team was to subscribe to it, then what would you say could be the minifaction unit limits?
I will remember Rhovanion Alliance, RIP .

I like the idea of miniplots giving you cp.
Am I Belgian or Flemish? Hmm, me thinks I'll just stick to European...

That doesn't really make sense, if it was like that it would mean that you could train more main faction units just because you built a minfaction building.

Well, yeah, you get your allies to help you, so you have a bigger army overall. Makes sense, doesn't it? Of course the cp would have to disappear again if you destroyed the building, that might be a problem...

Alright I didn't really think about that, but then couldn't minifactions just add some extra resources.

you go to your e-mail inbox, and then you've got a mail from Revora, and you open it, and there's a link you have to click which sends you here, and then your E-mail is validated (or something :))

and since you've been here a while, I'd bet you didn't use your own e-mail?

Should be, have a look in your control panel (should say "Resend Validation Email")
