Will SEE4 bother SEE4.5?

Will having SEE v4 still in the game folders effect the running of v4.5?
I'm still getting game.dat issues so tonight I'll un/reinstall and repatch the game (so many blasted disks!... wish I had dvd) but I wonder if the above is a factor. Also, will player-created maps in the map folder cause problems?
I noticed also last night that I have an ini.big in my Program Files BFME2 file AND my Application Data one. I don't remember if this was a mod I dropped in there. Does anyone else have multible ini.bigs (different size too)?
One more thing, I noticed for the first time after playing the mod for a week that I don't have Rohan heroes in v4.0 and the Rohan toggled buildings lists a Gondor Fortress. Is this right? If any of these questions are miss-posted topic-wise, sorry. Me are new., d'uhhhh
Thus ends my expresso fueled post!

- Player Created maps might cause problems yes, if they contain something that the mod don't use/have.
- I don't know what those other .big files are, but most likely they are other mods since the game itself does not place any .big files in that folder on C:. They should not interfere with SEE, but just in case you should move them while playing SEE...
- The Rohan Heroes are enabled by the Golden Hall. Build GH and you'll get Rohan Heroes. This was in Beta IV as well as in the new Beta 4.5...
- The Builder toggle is now completely separated Gondor/Rohan in Beta 4.5...

Reinstalling sort of worked. The mod kicked in beautifully. I'm not keen about having to wait on the BFME1 opening stuff (THX, EA, New Line, blah blah blah) without the option of hitting Esc(ape). BUT THEN THE GAME STARTED. Most of the game elements were colored HOT PINK!
So I took the game back to SEEv4 and it was still HOT PINK , including the opening scene with the 2 big crossing guards statue thingies (Algonath?)
Tonight I must reinstall those 6 blasted disks again. While I wine like a beeotch over this it is a testiment to how AMAZINGLY SUPERB this mod really is (as I hope 4.5 is but I still don't know). Any other mod I'd have deleted right away.
HOT PINK!
I didn't see this covered so...

That sounds like a bad 'asset.dat' file in your main folder. Reinstallation sounds good (not that it is fun).
Must be right because SEEv4.5 is UP and RUNNING! It's so hot! First thing I did was zoom in a worker and he had an actual face! Real arrows!... Bilbo!... Great stuff. I can't wait to free up some play time! Thanks for the hard work you folks put in and your patient support of us low-tech dullards

There and Back Again: An Irritated Players Tale
So the game runs fine one day and crashes the next due to some game.dat issue. I'm sorry guys but I don't get alot of time to myself so when I play a game it has to play. I play to squash frustration not create it. I rolled the game back to its store-bought settings. Maybe I'll install SEE 4 again but 4.5 is just too buggy.

- System,
- Game, or...
- Mod (Installation or download)
Nothing less, nothing more!
Q: Is your game truly an original copy?
Q: Have you patched to EA Patch 1.06?
Q: Are you running English version?
Q: Have you removed any other mods in the same folder?
Q: Have you tried the alternate installation of adding SEE into a folder of your own choise? See other threads for this here in Support Forums, but on my PC it now says:
"E:\EA GAMES\The Battle for Middle-earth II\lotrbfme2.exe" -mod "E:\SEE"
This means I have both the game AND the mod on the same partition/drive, in this case E drive. The "E:\SEE" part after the -mod is what's new with this method. This way you don't have to enable hidden files in Windows Explorer and mess with C: drive. You just add the mod to somewhere good, like directly on C which would be "C:\SEE" in that case... This is the installation method that will be in Beta 4.6. Try it!

Only the last item on the list have I not tried. I'll give it a shot. I've been slutting with RotWK Arcade Edition 'cause SEE didn't do me right but I'll give relationship another chance... SEE is THAT good.
