Hey everyone,

As you may have noticed, there was no mod update last week. Not because the guys that write the updates for us went on strike but simply because of a simple misunderstanding between staffers.

Therefore, this update gathers news for November the 11th and November the 4th. Enjoy the ride!

  • Special Extended Edition: If you just can't get over your addiction to BETA 4.5 that was released just over a week ago, you'll love the wallpapers ! Make sure to grant the team with some time to answer their survey
  • Helm's Deep: Last Hope: Rob has gone and re-done the Elven Warriors. Also in this update, you can see the Elven Bombarder in action! And just because i don't think it has been mentioned before, check out the new Last Hope site (clicky). Make sure you check both Rohan and Isengard because the site is different for the two of them.
  • The Hobbit Mod: Small update from The Hobbit. Includes new better skins for MOTW units and new capture flags for dwarves and MOTW

Posted Image Battle for Middle Earth 2 : RotWK

We'll also reveal the new hostee order later this week, so stay tuned as infos come in
Thanks for reading,

Damnit ched, don't say i'm not on strike. ;)

I demand my pay for DVD sales increase from 4 cents per copy to 8 cents per copy, and i want a larger increase for shows sold over things such as itunes, and i want to be paid for things aired for free on the site. You get plenty of money for my work.

jk

note: this video is great to say why the writers are striking. Go Writers!

Nice News update this week plenty of stuff all round.

I was wondering why SEE,RA and RJ-ROTWK get big news items on the main page now they kind of put the other news to near the bottom of the page. It's not that they should not have news on the main page but they take up so much space.

They're our top hostees in the sense that they gather more visitors than the rest of you lot, hence the possibility they get to populate the frontpage with their news.

But trust me, this weekly news we have going on still attracts many viewers, so you don't really lose attention from the public.

Granted, it's a shame that I posted this update before they did theirs, but I'll try to post updates later from now on to ensure that the mod update is on top.

I'd suggest adding the name of the news forum so people know where it's coming from by adding {forumname} in the template.

http://cnc3.net it states which news forum it comes from.

Most of your questions will be found in RJ's sub-forum (found here). As for the question, i'm not actually sure

How about if the other mods get a news update on the main page like a different mod every month it will help the other mods get some exposure.
Otherwise it could become a rich get richer the poor get poorer sort of situation.

could, but unlikely wouldn't.... But I do like that 1 each month thingy though... but that would be too much work, espcecially if we added it the way the others work now... :)
