CE 70
(First bit is originally Infinity238's)
Zaft rookie pilots Malik Decardo, Franc Utall, and Shelba Ludecker were busy in the cockpits of their new Ginn mobile suits. Malik was a self-centered person with a bit of an arrogance problem, where as Franc was a bit of a show off. Shelba mostly kept to her self during briefings and training often typing away on here Ginns keyboard. The alarm goes off; an announcement is made requesting all pilots to standby in their assigned units. From there the three briefed of the situation at hand.
Yamada Rikawa a young Mobile armor pilot enlists into EA, at the time his reasons are unknown. Although Yamada took part in the Bloody Valentine Tragedy (February 14, CE 70), yet made no attempt to fire nuclear warhead. Instead Yamada simply abandons the missile and provides support for the Roosevelt and units re-supplying. When ordered to re-supply Yamada shuts off his radio and continues with his business. He is later joined by three other pilots, Kumiko Hamano, Ryoga Amano, and Takahashi Shiro. As the fighting continues the four of them slowly drift away from the fleet, heading towards the peacemaker squadrons. The party encounters an unknown mobile suit, supported by smaller unmanned units, shooting down the few of the peacemaker formations. The assumption that it was ZAFT is quickly eliminated because the Ginns began to shoot at it. The mobile suit Yamada, and the other and starts to attack. Instinct tells Yamada to move and he effectively evades the attack. The mobile suit leaves as it is being chased by more Ginns. Relieved Yamada checks around. Kumiko's unit is disabled and Ryoga suffered only mirror damages. When he asks for the whereabouts of Takahashi, Ryoga responds that he is KIA. At that moment Malik, Franc, and Shelba comes in and begins attacking the Moebius formation. Refusing to abandon his comrades, Yamada engages the enemy. He damages Franc's Ginn and sends it into the general direct of Junius Seven. Malik rush towards Yamada and the two squares off, they are evenly matched. As the two duel Shelba attack the other two moebius. Seeing this Yamada breaks and intervenes, forcing Shelba to retreat. Malik angry for being neglected shoots wildly at Yamada. Just then Junius Seven is engulfed by a bright light and is destroyed. The Yamada uses this chance to escape and tows Kumiko and Ryoga back to the Fleet.. Back on the Roosevelt the three pilots are thrown in to the brig for disobedience and abandoning their posts. Throughout their time in the brig Kumiko continuously rants of the injustice. Ryoga & Yamada drill their heads into their cell’s wall.
The EA headquarters, however spots the talents in Yamada and Ryoga. All three are released and Yamada & Ryoga enlisted into the elite TS-MA2mod.00 Moebius Zero mobile armor corps. It is there the two meet Mu La Flaga, who acts as their mentor/trainer. They do not see Kumiko until the following year….
Operation Uroboros - April's Fool Crisis (April 1, CE 70): the two are first sent out in their new Moebius Zero units. It is there they develop a attack strategy nicknamed by La Flaga as the “twin hydra,” and Yamada & Ryoga are recognize as aces in the mobile armor corps. Unfortunately ZAFT succeeds their plans and deploys the Neutron Jammers. The two continues their training until the Battle of Endymion Crater (Grimaldi Front) (May 3, CE 70 - June 2, CE 70), the true test begins. It is there Yamada face off with Malik once again. The two are unable to gain the upper hand and the battle ends in the stalemate. It is until Mu La Flaga intervenes, badly injuring Malik. Malik does not return to the battle and is transported (along with others) a way from the Battle zone to receive treatment. At the climax of all the fighting, La Flaga notices an abnormality in his sensors and tries to warn the fleet. However they disregard it, calling him a deserter. Frustrated he orders Yamada & Ryoga to abandon the fighting and follow him out of the battle zone. The EA uses their ice melting microwave-emission device, known as the Cyclops system, to destroy their own resource base, causing heavy casualties and damages on both sides. The 3rd Fleet of the Earth Alliance was wiped out in this battle, along with its elite TS-MA2mod.00 Moebius Zero mobile armor corps, except for the three who escapes. ZAFT forces were forced to abandon the Endymion Crater and withdrew from the moon
CE 71
Yamada & Ryoga are now assigned to escort EA vessel disguised as a transport ship. Along with another transport ship(that has left earlier) they are to head to Heliopolis, importing resources to complete the EA new mobile suits. With them is Kumiko as support. The three use their time to catch, although it is Kumiko doing most the talking… pushing the other towards the brink of insanity. Yamada suddenly remembers the Blood Valentine Tragedy and asks why they disobeyed orders to help him. Kumiko and Ryoga replied because they wanted to. Kumiko added that it all worked out in the end. Shocked Ryoga asks her to clarify, Junius Seven was destroyed. “Exactly,” she says, “We are fighting for the preservation of our Blue and Pure World!” The conversation dropped and the three about their business.
(Infinity's bit here>>>>>)While in space Shelba is sent on a recon mission to Heliopolis on a lead of military supply ships coming and going through that area. While on Heliopolis Shelba reports 5 new alliance mobile suits at the Morgenroete facility, however the only ship within range of the transmission is a Nazca class vessel. After 4 more days Shelba uncovers schematics for two more mobile suits at the Morgenroate. After pocketing the disk she attempts to leave the colony but the Le Creuset team attacks the port, she is forced to evacuate the colony in a life pod just before it collapses. (Done)
Upon their arrival, they find Heliopolis is destroyed. Yamada immediately tries to contact Mu La Flaga (who was on the other ship) and the new ship being built, the Archangel, but it proves in vain. Kumiko asks "Did ZAFT do this?" Yamada launches and orders the other two stand-by in case ZAFT was still the area. On his sortie, he finds a life pod and brings on board. There Yamada meets Shelba and the feeling that he met her before. Shelba denies it, but Yamada treats her to lunch. Yamada asks her a few questions. She relies that ZAFT was involved but she only heard through rumors in the life pod. Out of the blue Shelba asks Yamada if all Coordinators are the enemy. Yamada responds what kind of question is that. "Because I am a Coordinator." Near officers, as well as Kumiko draw their weapons, aiming their guns at Shelba. Yamada shields her, ordering them to stand down.
(I’m gonna do this as script)
[Yamada]: (uses himself as a human shield) Stand down. Just what are you guys doing?
[Kumiko]: Get out the way, she the enemy.
[Yamada]: What are talking about? She's no----
[Kumiko]:(irritated) She's the enemy! (Dramatically) ALL COORDINATORS ARE THE ENEMY! (Yamada says as she speaks : What are you....) THAT'S WE'RE FIGHTING THIS WAR!
[Yamada]: (in a stern yet calm voice) Coordinators are not the enemy, ZAFT is. Coordinator or not, Shelba is a citizen of ORB, and as such we are to protect all of them until they are returned to ORB.
Back to regular narration.
Shelba shocked and utterly speechless, clutching on to the data disk. The captain/chef hears the commotion orders everyone to put their weapons a way, he will no have any guns shooting on his ship. Personal that were involved are confined to their quarters. Later the Heliopolis survivors are handed over to a civilian transport vessel, Yamada says his goodbyes to Shelba and comment that it's a pity that they won’t meet again. Shelba turns to Yamada as she is boarding and says nothing. When the ship leaves, Shelba, holding the data disk, says "No, it's a pity we will meet again." She uses her chance to escape. Her shuttle is picked up by the Gamow on rout to meet up with the Vesalius.
Part2
The transport manages to rendezvous with the EA 8th Fleet, and better yet the Archangel is with them. The Transport is relieved and the pilots are transferred to the Menelaos, all but Kumiko who remains with the transport ship. A full report is given to Rear Admiral Lewis Halberton. Later Yamada & Ryoga visits the Archangel, there they see the GAT-X105 Strike gundam. La Flaga see them jokes that they're still alive. Ryoga comments how the assigned mobile suit pilot must have felt dealing with the real. La Flaga corrects him telling that the special pilots were killed. Shocked Yadama asks if it was La Flaga piloting the Strike. Before walking off he responds all but one person can pilot the Strike, Leaving the Kids puzzled. Returning the Menelaos, they help out with their unit's maintenance. Moments later the Le Creuset Team attacked just before the Archangel's re-entry into the Earth's atmosphere. Yadama and Ryoga launch to provide support for the Fleet. ZAFT sends the 4 stolen Gundams and Ginns, among them are Malik and Shelba. Shelba is thinking of Yamada. At one point of the battle Yamada picks up a stray transmission, the voice was Shelba's. Yamada becomes distracted and is taken out by Malik. Trying to cover/ snap Yamada out of his daze, Ryoga comes to his aid. In the mist of the chaos, Ryoga 's Mobile armor is damaged by the GAT-X103 Buster and destroyed by Malik. Yamada screams out for his fallen friend. Shelba, realizing who she was fighting, takes the damaged M.Zero back to the Laurasia-class, the Zeigler. Yamada is taken in as a prisoner.
Part 3
Yamada is thrown in the brig, still dazed from the battle. He jokes that this time it'll be a more quiet experience. Having said that Yamada remembers his fallen friend, Ryoga, and morns for his death. Meanwhile Shelba is on board the Vesalius having to explain her actions. Rau Le Creuset however dismisses the event and advises not to pity the enemy next. He gives Athrun Zala a glance when he said this. When dismissed she asks Athrun what the commander meant but he ignores her question and gives her an assignment. Mailk who is standing nearby walks up to Shelba. He tells her not to take pity of the naturals, after all, they are vermin. He leaves....
Shelba is to watch over Yamada, although he is a prisoner he is allowed to walk freely in the PLANTS... As long as someone keeps watch. ( This is after 3 weeks in the Zeigler's brig) Malik, on the other hand, is transferred to earth. It is there he meets Kaworu Kusanagi (a member of FAITH), his CO for the time being. He participates in the Second Battle of Victoria (February 13, CE 71), in this operation Malik gets the highest kills than any other of his comrades. His abilities and reports of him in battle reach Chairman Zala...
Kumiko is enlisted to test the new EA's new MS. She hear news of the demise of the 8th fleet, fearing the worse, she thinks that Yamada and Ryoga are both dead.
Back at the PLANTS Shelba and Yamada gets close. It seems more like the two are dating rather than guard duty. Despite being a prisoner, Yamada becomes a custom to his new home. At times even the ZAFT soldiers who lock him up every night forget that he a prisoner. During one of Yamada's "outings" he is given back some of his personal belongings. Among the items is a ZAFT MS pilot's dog tag. Seeing this Shelba asks why does Yamada have that. Yamada's face is stricken with pain. He answers it was his cousin's. He explains that when he was little he had a cousin, Fai Katsuro. Fai was Coordinator, but that didn't matter he was family. Yamada describes their relationship as blood brothers. However as time passed Fai changed, he wasn't the same as he was in their childhood. His smile was gone, and one day Fai returned in a ZAFT uniform. With a gun the last words he said were, "Dam all naturals," and killed both his and Yamada's family. Yamada explains that he survived, he was so confused and so angry at the time. He wanted answers..... "Why did you do this?" He would ask. Fai only answered "I’ll tell you in the battle field." And so the Yamada finds him self in a cockpit of a Moebuis. Yamada goes on with his story, in the battlefield, before the war had even started, they fought. In the end Yamada emerges victorious and the only thing left was a ZAFT dog tag. (Flash back over) Looking at the dog tag Yamada begins to cry, repeatedly asking "why do I still have this?" Shelba doesn't know what to say and she asks if she was the enemy. Yamada look shocked looks at her. "You once said 'ZAFT was the enemy, not coordinators.' So does that make me an enemy?" This question causes Yamada to have a complete emotional breakdown... He doesn't know the answer.
Part 4
In May 8th CE 71, operation Spitbreak is revealed, Shelba tells Yamada of the goal of wiping out the alliance leadership. She hands the intelligence report to him. Yamada looks at it, and note that only the Eurasian Forces are stationed to defend JOSH-A. He immediately realizes the plan EA. Stunned Shelba takes Yamada to an Armory, there she removes the prisoner tag and gains wildly types on the computer. On the screen are his files and schematics of a mobile suit. She deletes his files, and saves the other data on to a disk. Yamada is told to wear a technician’s uniform, is given a card key and is dragged along by Shelba. The armory is still confused by of lost of the ZGMF-X10A Freedom. The two reach a locked door guarded by two soldiers. Shelba tells them to open the door and that she’ll be launching the Legacy. The two guards open the door and Shelba along with Yamada enters. A mobile suit stands, Yamada comments “is that the Strike?” As she’s load the data in the MS she tells him that it is the ZGMF-X08A Legacy. She climbs out of the cockpit briefs Yamada about the Legacy, She tells him that it’s even Nuclear powered and the N-Jammer canceller technology. She tells him that she’s giving him the unit. Yamada asks why she is doing all this. Shelba reply that she knows he won’t hand the technology over to the EA and everything will be ok. Yamada is pushed into the cockpit, Shelba instructs him how to pilot it. Before leaving Shelba request Yamada to save as many lives as he can. Understanding this he enters the Legacy and launches. Shelba begins to prepare for the next phase…
Part 5
*edit to the last part…. Shelba finds out about operation SpitBreak and intelligence of the EA actions, a few days earlier.
Yamada steals the Legacy before Freedom is stolen.
On his descent down to Earth, Yamada locks/hides the Specs and details of the N-Jammer Canceller in the OS. He lands in Panama… After being arrested, Questioned and release, Yamada heads to the Legacy. In the hanger He meets Kumiko once again, who tackles him (in tears). That night, Yamada overhears the plan to use the Cyclops system at JOSH-A to annihilate everything in hopes to diminish ZAFT’s fighting strength in half. Rushing to the Legacy he prepares to launch. Kumiko sees him asks what he is doing. She tells him that the machine he had brought will disassemble tomorrow. Yamada tells her what he overheard, and that he plans to stop it.
(Using a script…. again )
[Kumiko]: (draws gun, weakly and in tears) I can’t allow you… this is our chance to win the war. How could you betray-
[Yamada] :( icy glance) If I am to be your enemy then shoot me now.
[Kumiko]: Yamada…
[Yamada] :( angrily) I will no longer be a part of this genocide! And what of our comrades? What of the people who gave their lives? Are we supposed to sacrifice everything?! (Gets into the cockpit) Do as you must…
(Narration again)
Kumiko pulls the emergency alarm then fall to her knees in tears, the Legacy launches. There is confusion all over the base; no one knows what’s going on. In Legacy, Yamada runs a diagnostic of the OS and the machine itself, everything checks clear. Malik’s team picks up an unknown signal traveling at high velocity. His team, along with Kaworu Kusanagi, launch it their Dinns to investigate. They intercept the Legacy, no makes a move. Kaworu sends a transmission demanding the unknown MS to identify itself. Yamada explains the situation; however Malik recognizes his voice and fit of rage attacks. Informing other members in his Squad that the unit is a part of the EA, they attack. Kaworu confused, orders Malik to stand down, but he continues to fight. Yamada is forced to defend himself, however his inexperience with a MS prolongs the battle. In the end Yamada shoots down 5 of 7 Dinns, including Malik, and shakes off his pursuers. Malik vows from revenge. Yamada doesn’t make at it in time… He hears a buzzing that he has heard before and a shock wave follows afterward. Where the former EA headquarters was is now a big crater. Yamada gets out of the Legacy and looks at the destruction, he toss his helmet aside in disgust. Not far from him, he sees the Archangel and the Freedom and joins them for the time being.
Part 6
Ok this is what I got
Malik is requested by Chairman Zala to return to the PLANTS for a new assignment. As he packs Kaworu tells him to watch himself, sometimes things are not what they seem. The younger pilot grins replying that it is the enemy who should watch themselves. Kaworu sighs and turn for the door; before he leaves he tells Malik that sometimes the enemy isn’t the one who’s fighting him. Malik remembers the Legacy and the reports from the operation SpitBreak. At the PLANTS he receives the Fate Gundam, and begins to familiarize the system. As the day goes on he overhears the technicians talk about the stolen Freedom and the Legacy & its pilot, Shelba Ludecker. He wonders if it was the Legacy he saw down at Earth.
Yamada gets to ORB; he requests to use the mass driver to be sent into space. He explains that there's a possibility that he can change the influence of Blue Cosmos has on the EA if he goes back. Kira Yamato asks him about the N Jammer Canceller in his unit. Yamada reassures Kira that the EA will get the technology from him. La Flaga asks why not just go back to Panama. Yamada tells them that there's someone in the EA he can trust with the Legacy, but he must go to space. In space, he encounters the Hyperion Gundam. The pilot demands the where about of Kira Yamato, begins to attack, Yamada confused defends himself. It is until an EA fleet arrives the battle resolves the Hyperion leaves. Yamada is relieved because it is the 24th orbital fleet. On the Flag ship, Ajax, Yamada requests to see Rear Admiral Neil Hiro. In the Admiral’s ready room Yamada is told to relax and that he doesn’t have to be so formal. (It is in fact that Admiral Hiro is Yamada’s grandfather) Yamada tells everything that has happened and the story of the Legacy Gundam. With a grim face, Hiro informs Yamada that the Legacy will be dissembled and shipped to the EA. He smiles, bursting into laughter at the site of Yamada’s reaction. He reassures Yamada that the unit will not be handed to the EA headquarters. However he must notify other members of the fleet about this situation, Yamada is dismissed. In his office, the Admiral stares in the stars commenting the chaos if the technology in the Legacy is acquired by Blue Cosmos.
The EA receives intelligence (because of the conflict between Legacy and Hyperion) that the 24th orbital Fleet has captured a MS, an investigation team is sent to the Ajax. Meanwhile the Legacy is hidden on the Halifax (Nelson-class battleship), Yamada is given a “code name” to hide his real identity. Among the investigation team is Hikari Izo, who looks remarkably like Ryoga Amano. At first glance Yamada instantly calls out to him, but the young man doesn’t know him. Yamada remembers that his friend was killed and that he must keep a low profile, Yamada apologizes for the mistake. Aside from the investigation team, the 24th orbital fleet is given the order to do an investigation of their own…. At Lagrange point 4, where the old colonies are located, there reports of an unknown mobile suit seen as well as ZAFT activity. Since the 24th fleet is the closest vessels in the area, Headquarters orders the Ajax a long with the Nicolai, and Burn (two Nelson Class) find out what is going on. Hikari’s Team is ordered to remain with the Ajax.
The Fate’s test flight and battle simulation shows the machine is force to be reckoned with. The new DRAGOON system is a huge leap from the prototype plans of the YMF-X000A Dreadnought Gundam and will be added the Providence Gundam. However, the mechanics warn Malik if he push the unit too far either; A. the Reactor will overheat and there will be an emergency shutdown of all systems except boosters. Leaving a battery that has only enough power for 15 min. or B. if the emergency system fails…The Reactor has a meltdown. Malik laughs it off and heads off for a long deserved shower.
Part 7
The Ajax gets to its mission point, and preps the pilots for a recon sortie. Yamada launches in a Moebius along with three Dagger escorts. Hikari is suspicious of Yamada and comes along (also in a Moebius. While browsing through personal files, Hikari notice that Yamada (code name) wasn’t there. What’s even stranger is that the Ajax seems to have an extra Dagger on board. The Ajax goes standby in case of the worst case scenario. The plan is to use Yamada as scout and the daggers as cover fire when they retreat, if they’re attacked. Hikari tags along with Yamada. Not long after weaving through the colonies, they stumble upon a Laurasia Class ship. The only problem is Malik has launch Fate for another training session, and had long seen the two Mobile Armors. The Captain orders him two destroy their uninvited guests, launching an additional 5 GINNs for support. The chief mechanic request Malik to use the DRAGOON for battle experience. Immediately seeing the Fate and its equipment, Yamada orders all forces to withdraw and not to engage the enemy. However the 3 Daggers disobey orders and rushes in to cover their comrades. They only take out 2 GINNs before being obliterated by the Fate. Left with no choice Yamada turns around telling the lieutenant to return to the Ajax and warn them. However, Hikari tells Yamada that he won’t leave behind and stays to fight. Yamada, now frustrated, comments why no one listens to his orders. During the fight Hikari begin to have flashbacks of events that depict him as a completely different person. Under the stress of a one-sided fight, for some reason, Hikari suggests to do the “twin hydra” strategy. Yamada is shock; Hikari continues not really understanding what he is saying himself. The plan is slightly modified due the fact they weren’t in the Zeros. When Malik uses the Dragoons Hikari Newtype abilities rewaken, along with some of his memories as Ryoga Amano. Using their strategy they manage to escape into one of the abandoned colonies. Malik Notice something familiar about the Moebius movements.
In one of the Colonies, Yamada tries to contact the Ajax but it proves in vain. Hikari begins to have a mental breakdown; he is unable to make any sense of the flashbacks and with the memories of him as “Hikari Izo”. Yamada tells Hikari about Ryoga while trying to get in touch with the Ajax. Realizing the reaction from Hikari, Yamada changes the subject. No matter how much Yamada tries to calm the disturbed man, it seems nothing helps. Hikari feels like his head is about to explode. Eventually, Hikari calms a little and randomly talks of his past. Yamada just sits and listens. Here Yamada learns about the attack on ORB and that ORB fell within 24 hrs. Everything along with Morgenroete, the massdriver, is completely destroyed. Moments later the Fate locates where the two Mobile Armors are hiding and attacks, with the Laurasia Ship not far behind. Hikari tells Yamada that he will ram the ZAFT ship. Despite Yamada’s arguments, he tells him that he can’t go on doubting his existence, living with conflicting morale of two men inside him. Hikari crashes his Moebius into the ZAFT ship causing heavy damage to the engines. Yamada dashes to the Ajax. When he reaches the Ajax, he doesn’t leave the cockpit, he sits there crying…
The Ajax returns to the fleet, Admiral Hiro sends his report, along with the findings of the Fate and its combat data. The investigation teams leaves, finding nothing. Yamada remains in his quarters.
Part 8
Long time no post ^ ^
First off, here’s to the coming of the New Year.
Second, got some idea involving Yamada’s MS in GSD but I’ll tell after I finish GS
Malik is seen as child surrounded by other children, wearing the same clothes. He’s just standing there, an explosion. Malik remains standing, there’s no injury not even a scratch on him. However, bodies surround him; disfigured, charred bodies. In front of him there 4 other kids also unharmed, but these kids are wear pajamas like garments and are holding weapons. They walk towards him. Terrified Malik grabs a nearby gun, the kids surrounds him, he shoots frantically killing all four. Yet Malik becomes surrounded by more figures; kids, people in military uniforms, pilot suits. With each person he shoots he appears older, until he is at the age we know him as. As a child we see him crying, but the crying stops and his eyes become cold, locked as stone. His expression is full of rage. There is one more person left, but the figure already has a gun pointed at Malik. At first Malik believe he sees Yamada, but when the figure shoots Malik sees himself. The bullet passes through Malik’s heart and he wakes up.
A few days later, the N-Jammer Canceller gets into the EA hands and they prepare the nukes for Operation Peacemaker. In the PLANTS, everyone’s eyes are glued to the news report. In the battle, Malik thinks he hears Shelba’s voice but is unable to confirm due to the destruction of Boaz. Unable to stop the nuclear attack, remaining ZAFT forces (including the Fate) is forced to retreat to Jachin Due.
Although the Ajax & Co. participated in the battle, Yamada does not leave his room. He’s become distant and indifferent. Admiral Hiro looks out and sees the destruction of nuclear weapons. Many in the 24th orbital fleet are disgusted with the outcome. Kumiko in a different fleet is unable to make unsure of how she feels. (Doesn’t know where Yamada is) She doesn’t believe in eradicating enemy, nor does she share the Fanaticism of Blue Cosmos. Shelba contacts Yamada from a mercenary group. His conversation with Shelba straightens out his priorities; Yamada is now able focus on what is important.
Special note: Malik's nightmare is about his past. The 4 kids are the EA's Extended who had escaped
Final Part
Kumiko is transferred to the Ajax, still confused. She is astonish of Yamada’s presence on the ship. The two get into an argument but are happy to see each other. The festivities end when Yamada asks Kumiko who is she gonna fight and how. Kumiko is unable to respond and Yamada leaves for the bridge. The Second Battle of Jachin Due begins, Yamada tells the Admiral that he won’t be fighting for EA At this point and will fight to stop both sides. The Admiral sighs; he tells his fleet that the Ajax will no longer fight to destroy the Coordinators but to stop the war. The entire fleet defects. Admiral Hiro summons Kumiko to the bridge instead of launching her into battle. He tells her to watch the battle from the bridge, he tells her to watch, only Yamada’s, but all the pilots’ resolve. They may not know what they are fighting but they know why they are fighting. On the battlefield Shelba sorties in a custom GINN from the mercenary’s ship. She is equipped with crude EMP canon. The Fate spots the Legacy, and before Malik could attack Shelba intervenes, telling him Yamada isn’t the enemy. However when the EA launches its load of nuclear warheads at the PLANTS Malik goes into frenzy. Malik believes that the Legacy is really protecting the EA. Launching his dragoons Malik attacks everything in site, including allied troops. There a brief confrontation between Yamada and Malik before Shelba gets in the way trying to reason with Malik. But he continues his rampage heavily damaging Shelba’s GINN and injuring her in the process. Shelba somehow fires her slapped-together EMP weapon, before Yamada pulls her damaged MS back to the Ajax. It stuns the Fate and knocks Malik out cold. The first shot of Genesis is fired.
On the Ajax there is game plan drawn up immediately after the first shot of Genesis. ¾ of the fleets remaining MS complement are to deal with the EA Peacemaker force of the rest to defence the fleet. The fleet is going to take down Genesis. Yamada tells Kumiko to remain on the Ajax to assist due to the lack of crew. Shelba is in the mess hall, which is now a makeshift infirmary, getting medical attention. Malik wakes inside his MS, dazed but now more obsessed in destroying Legacy. Yamada launches and heads out for Genesis. Malik locates Yamada and an epic battle ensues. At the beginning Yamada’s unique abilities fair well against Malik, even defeating Malik. Malik continually yells why can’t he beat the Legacy. His nightmares beginning to surface, and all this stress causes him to go SEED. There is are a few exchange of beam fire as Malik approach Yamada. The Fate rips off Legacy’s right arm, Yamada pulls back to give himself some distance with no success. His opponent seems to be always one step ahead. In the cockpit of the Fate, Malik is consuming so much power that the reactor is unable compensate. Warnings blare out due to Overheat, Systems are damaged from the battle earlier. Yamada abandons his shield to use his sword, firing the plasma canons, destroying one Dragoon pod. One Dragoon charges, Yamada smacks it a way not seeing Fate following behind it. Malik swipes with his beam saber ripping the torso and exposing Yamada, the three remaining Dragoons fore damaging Legacy further. As Malik rushes in for the final blow, Fate’s fail safe engages and it begins to power down. On the emergency reserves, Malik plans to, literally, crush Legacy . Kumiko (or Shelba, whoever you prefer) intervenes knocking Fate a way. Genesis self-destructs, the war ends.
Post war:
- Malik is still confused, still having nightmares. He is still in ZAFT thanks to Gil during his, along many others’, trials for war crimes. Maybe he’ll find a resolve in GSD
- Shelba remains with the Mercenaries, and receives the Legacy back. She later rejoins ZAFT in the second war
- Yamada and Co. returned to the EA to fight its corruption
