Well, I've been wanting to do some matches with S.E.E. users online, but everytime I try to go to Online Multiplayer, it tells me to install the latest patch from EA.

When I do the autopatch (or autoupdate, whatever it's called), it says something like "Can not update because the files do not match". I uninstalled S.E.E. to see if it worked that way, and that didn't do anything. Do I need to a reinstall of BFME II entirely for it to work? Thanks.

EDIT: *renamed topic* /Naz :)

92% of today's teens have moved onto rap. If you are part of the 8% that still listens to real music, copy and paste this to your signature.

Possibly that would help. But in case it doesn't, you can also patch manually.
Go to EA's ftp server: Link

Download the latest bfme2 patch in your language.

Of course the link only works when the ftp is not down again. Try later. :)

Ah, thanks. I reinstalled BFME II, and that seemed to work. Topic valid for closing. :)

Sorry, patch will crash on non-legal versions. So you need to buy yourself a non-copied version.

Just a question, i have a bought game, but my dvd drive failed, and i replaced the DAT file with a no-cd one. Will that still crash the mod?

Bit late on this topic but I'm having difficulties using the mod and I think its because the patch isn't installed correctly. I go to check for updates, it tells me I have to have administrator permission (I am the administrator). So i go google and find a 1.06 patch, download and install the patch, no issues. Load the game, click online and it still says i need the patch. Goes to download, You need administrator permission! I feel pretty confident in the installation and setup of the mod, no errors. Its just the standard edition BFME loads up with the SEE splash. But the game is in its basic form so Ive come here for help. Also hope your still watching this forum in 2016 Below is a screen shot of the properties of both the standard game shortcut and the SEE mod shortcut and behind those is the file locations. Provided screen shot just in case something isn't right and its not the update stopping me from playing

That means you need to right-click on the patcher, then set it to run as administrator. Having an administrator account and running with administrator permissions have been two different terms since Windows Vista.

Yep, just tried that. Nothing changed. It says the patch was successful, but still the same results. Ive seen a mod for a "All In One Patch" could this be useful to my case? I didn't really investigate
