Long time? I did the same (changed the range) and lasted ten minutes... Anyway, about the stations, I think PR should include other canon ones like the stations I mentioned in the Space Stations topic, not upgrade the Golans: there are no other models for them and each Golan is distinctly different from the other...

I meant like ships are upgraded (Impstar I, II, etc.) That way they can remain on the same technology level as the other ships in the game.

Well, I don't have any specific changes in mind, as making them means testing them as well. So if somebody could post some improved version of Golan I'd be grateful

Sorry for not responding your PM, I haven't seen the forums for a while. Anyway, I attached to this post the modified Golans, with better range and heavy turbolasers.

EDIT: Sorry, I got confused, this is the file you need to replace. I tried to post it yesterday but my internet didn't allow me.

For those of you who can' use the file, you need an un-rar. program, such as autounpack, to view these files.

Use winwar its all over the internet. What would happen if i added a couple of ion cannons to the hardpoints file, would they apperar on gnolans or would nothing happen?

Nothing would happen, I think. You would also have to edit the Golan xml files themselves. And perhaps a bit more.

Only Golan xml files, as long as you want to add them to existing bones. If not, you'll have to edit models as well.

I can not open this and I really don't want to pay for winrar. I also used the trial period earlier this year so I can not use it again. I don't understand why winrar makes you pay for it. It is no better then a zip file is it?
