It should not matter with the system. If you have over 4 gigs of ram it will only use the amount that it was programed to use. It will not crash it just will not use anymore. Same if you have a dual core or Quad core. It will only use one of them not all.

And most recently it crashed to a pure black screen when starting a space station attack on munalesst. Fun mod balenced great just not sure as to why it doesnt stay stable. Maybe a another download of it, maybe the copy I have is corrupt. who, knows.

Tried another download of the mod with no luck. I did see how this was an issue and is being looked into. So I appreciate.

Saddly I cannot understand why this isnt an issue for everyone else. Ive reinstalled my Os, updated everysingle driver that exsist on my system and shouldnt have a single difference between me and the next fellow trying to play this mod. You have gone to great lenths to finally finish SW:FOC the way is should have been, yet these damn exception errors are still arising, can no one find an answer this problem? Its one thing to try to polish your mod, its another thing to make sure it runs w/o crashing at the same exact point everytime.

-----

If there is anything I can do as far as submitting any kind if information or txt logs about this issue then please dont hesitate to ask, I just want to help myself and others exp this problem. BTW : I am using the full version and not the mini - mod.

----

I also thought it would be important to mention that the CSA are still active in the version of PR that I have. Maybe this is why I keep crashing. I would suppose it is. I aplied the bug fixes so that the CSA AI would not be active but it still is. Do I need to start a new GC for this to work after I aplly the patch or would it be fine to go from a saved game? Thanks

Just to be safe, and I realize you may have already done this, but make sure and/or double check that you've applied all of the bug-fixes listed here, or you can download PR Enhanced, which includes the bug fixes, along with other sorts of changes.

Unfortunately, we can't do anything with the logs or anything like that. If anyone can, it would be the people at Petroglyph, though I don't think that the developers do anything about errors with mods.

The CSA will still be a faction even though its AI is disabled. What we mean by "disabling the CSA" is removing the driving AI in the galaxy mode. So they'll have ships and planets and they'll still fight when you get them into tactical, but they won't make any moves in galactic. Check the AI file to see if they have "BasicEmpire" or "None" as the value for galactic AI. I do believe that saved games will still be valid.

If you're playing the GFFA campaign, that might contribute to the trouble. It's not the rig you use that will have issues, it's just the game code that breaks down once you create such a large galaxy. It just wasn't really designed to handle so much. Try one of the smaller GCs and see if that helps any.

As far as Muunilinst goes, does that happen every time? Or was it just a one-time occurrence?

I understand I may be repeating things you have already tried, but I'm just trying to eliminate any possibilities I can think of off the top of my head. Get back to me on all of this.

I'm afraid I don't know either - I never had the CSA cause an exception for me in testing v1.0, so I never knew that was an issue even. Let's just hope it works for v1.1 now that GFFA is radically different.

maybe your graphics card isn't strong enough, Forces of corruption need atleast a Geforce 3 or a Ati Radeon 8500
the reason I mention the graphics card is becaus Forces of corruption was palyable for a year then became unplayable until I got a new graphics card

Well, if FoC doesn't run, then the mod can't either. Reinstall everything and patch.
