@ Vortigern: My father plays World of Warcraft. My DAD! And my "friend" (in quotes for a reason) does too. And I like to recite the South Park spoof episode every once in a while. I really can't help saying level 60 night elf.

Mac Leopard 10.x FTW! By the way, Tolkien really was the worst writer in the history of mankind. I mean, seriously. Even Christopher Paolini was better.

"I :p centre politics!"

By the way, Copa, anything by Dan Brown is inherently abominable. He has some vaguely interesting ideas, but if you look more carefully, you'll realise that none of them are actually his own. He merely steals other people's ideas and writes them in words of one syllable so idiots will read them while sitting on beaches in Ibiza, or whatever your American equivalent is. I'm frankly amazed he won the lawsuits about the da Vinci code. There is no possible way to call what he came up with an original idea, no matter how much he claimed it as such. He gives the literary world a bad name.

@ Vort: Yes. But here's my thing - by now, just about everything has been done with literature, as far as fiction is concerned. I mean, just have a look at monomyth theory and I'm fairly certain 99% of all fiction books fall in perfectly. Has Dan Brown taken other people's base ideas and used them for his own? Yeah, but so have so many other authors (Tolkein, Rowling, Clancy, Paolini, etc etc etc). His writing isn't all that bad, TBH. If you can look past the fact that it's been done a billion other times, it's not a terrible read.

"These "Things I'd Never Say" are ridiculous. Guys, grow a brain cell, I'd rather be trolled then put up with these... abominably-low-IQ-resultant twoddle."

"I :p centre politics!"

I used to consider myself quite central, if slightly left, I'm suprised as any by the PoliticalCompass results. Probably not accurate. Or I've drifted :p

I must admit, whilst I found the other books tolerable Digital Fortress really got me hooked. Sadly :p
