Vengeance-class Star Destroyer

I've always been under the impression it's a separate, unique line of Star Dreadnought, but I've also read it's just a slightly modified Executor-class.
What's your opinion, and is it likely to ever see the light of day in Phoenix Rising?
AFAIK, here's the most well-known image of a Vengeance-class Star Destroyer:
I think it would be an excellent addition to the game, and I for one would love to be able to command one.
Maybe it could be an interesting late-game hero unit, commanded by Jerec?
Just a few thoughts.
PS: Not relevant to this, but I thought the Tector-class Star Destroyer wasn't supposed to have any hangars or anything. The version in 1.0 does (on the underbelly), so I'm not sure if my information is wrong, or your current model is incorrect. Perhaps something for one of you chaps to look into. Either way, fantastic work overall and an excellent mod.

One more couldn't hurt, could it?
I don't mind if it's only available in a certain place or, as I suggested above, if it's a hero unit commanded by Jerec, I'd just absolutely love to see it in-game.
There must be a way we can fit it in? Pretty please!
Also, whilst I remember: what the hell's with the tech tree at present?
Why is it I am able to construct the likes of a Praetor-class as soon as a skirmish match starts, but I have to upgrade in order to construct a Victory-class or even much smaller, weaker frigates & corvettes?
It's not a complaint, merely a query. I'm not sure what the point behind it was. Surely, smaller --> bigger over time makes more sense? Anyone?
Finally, why are the Victory, Tector and Imperial-class as Mark IV? I wasn't aware such designs existed. Isn't the latest Victory a III, and Imperial a II?

It would need a model, anyways.
Probably no model for the Tector. Usually the underbelly isn't seen, though.
Skirmish... is skirmish. I have no idea.

If the ImpII was the best they got, the rebels would have a field day.
And for the Vengeance... according to Wookieepedia, it's armament is identical to an Executor, and has less specifics in other areas. (Like complement)
Again, it would still need a model.

So maybe the Vengeance could be either a hero transport, as mentioned, or another research upgrade for the Executor-class, so it's faster.

I have seen Vengeance models, but I'm not sure if they would be up to the standard of this mod.

"Vader gets the plesure of killing someone while we get to stay among the living. Private Perkins overhere has been stranged over 30 times haven't you Perkins." "Good man."

How could the Vengeance possibly be an Executor-class? The shape is completely different! I personally don't care what the book said in this case, because that makes no sense. Even a heavily modified Executor couldn't be made to look like that.
I have seen Vengeance models, but I'm not sure if they would be up to the standard of this mod.
I quote directly from the book:
The latter vessel (Vengeance) served as the command ship for the Dark Jedi named Jerec, and though visually distinctive it had the same specifications as other Super Star Destroyers.
The shape isn't as different as you think. SOG has a picture that doesn't have a background, so it's easier to tell the shape. It's like an SSD, except that it has the winglets. And the systems could be the same, just with different outsides.

Would anyone be so kind as to walk me through how to implement it? It's from a mod (The SSD mod, which basically just adds a couple of SSDs - that's it really) - when I'm done, I'll post a few screenshots and you guys can see what it looks like. I'm assuming it's not that complex a process to simply add one ship.
Anyone?

But that didn't work for me when I tried it...

Well, I assumed that you could just take info from an existing unit, (in this case the Executor), and change the necessary lines.
But that didn't work for me when I tried it...
because you have to tell the computer where all the firing points are at on the model. meaning you you couldn't change the model of an executor to a Victory because there aren't any light laser cannon or as many tubolaser batteries on the Victory

That would be it. You would have to have an EAW model that would work. I don't know why we need it, because I think that Jerec would be a ground unit, too, and we don't have a model of him.Well, I assumed that you could just take info from an existing unit, (in this case the Executor), and change the necessary lines.

It's currently an obsolete to modern progression (at least with respect to launch date). Otherwise, who would buy TIE Fighters when you get Nova Wings right away? Also, whilst I remember: what the hell's with the tech tree at present?

No, it's a super star destroyer. It's not an Executor-class.The Vengeance is not a seperate line of ship, it is an Executor-class. This was cleared up in the latest Starships of the Galaxy.

In the last pages of the Fleet Junkies forums there has been a lot of discussion on the SSDs area, and they mention quite a few times the Vengeance. But you must be prepared mentally to read it, it looks like a battle to death, respect is not always present. The Super Star Destroyer wars, they call it. Fleet Junkies forum
