I've tried to go on the file to take out the ";" but it just says this.
"Data.big is not a valid Win32 application."
What does this mean? Please help me!

anyway...
open up elven.big (which is in your BFME App Data folder*)
find playertemplate.ini
find the elven part
delete the ";" infront of gilgaled
*to find this folder:
go to Start, then Run and enter "%appdata%" without the quotes
Find the BFME folder in the window that appears.

Thank you I'll go look for it now. Also, this is an extraordinary mod. One of the best. Good job!
I'm sorry to bother you more but this %appdata is not working.

So, that means you'll have to try the old-fashioned way, which I'll explain in later, or wait for M@tt to get back.
Ok, so first open My Computer, whichever drive you installed bfme on (probably C), Documents and settings, Your User Name, Application data (which is hidden, if you can't see it, go to the tool bar up top, tools >folder options, go to the view tab, then click "Show hidden files and folders". Press apply and you're good to go). After opening up Application data, go to My Battle For Middle-Earth files, and you should see ElvenAlliance.big. Open that using Final Big, and on the left hand side scroll down to data\ini\playertemplate.ini, and open that. Now, on the right side, scroll down until you find Playertemplate FactionElven. Below that, it will say BuildableherosMP. Follow that line and find ;ElvenGilGalad. Simply remove the ";", and save.
That should do it, let us know if you have any more problems

Really, it's all experimenting until you get the hang of it. Visit the T3A website if you have more questions.

In any case, I'd go back and check it to make sure. I myself thought I changed it, but didn't a couple of times
Another thought. I can't remember right now, but you may have to build another hero first. Sometimes there simply isn't enough room for all of them
......Now we wait for m@tt

I also found the starting money files in the same INI as the one you unlock Gil-Galad. I put Elves starting money to 1,000,000 . And the AI still won't work! I thought: Wow, I can take advantage of this...! Anything else I can take advantage of?

Yeah, the elves don't have an AI.
You can take advantage of just about anything, you could make elven untis invicible if you really wanted to.
