Hey everyone

Clean-up
Currently, I'm going through the main T3A site and removing obsolete and poor quality material from the public's view. This will make the site easier to naviagate and maintain a quality standard that T3A is striving for. If you happen to be the author of a piece of work that was removed, you should be able to see the comment I left to why it was removed. If you want to know more information about it or want to improve the piece, send me a pm and I will gladly talk to you about your concerns/ideas.

Suggestions
If anyone has a suggestion to an article that could help modders out, post it so we can see if anyone is interested in writing it for you. Remember, we are not going to write articles for very specific purposes. Try to keep your suggestions general so that it can apply to a wide range of modders. So, for example, don't say I want to know how to get Aragorn to use the knife throw attack. Instead, ask how do you create a new power for a hero.

Help
Going through some of the material, I noticed that some authors uploaded their files to a generic site and not T3A. The problem is that the files have been deleted making it useless for people wishing to use the files. So if anyone happens to have the files for the following articles, send me them through pm and I will properly restore them to the site.

It would be nice to have a tutorial on how to hex edit a model (to change the color of forged blades and stuff).

This should suffice for now on hex editing forged blades. It only skims the surface for hex-editing, but I'll add more over-time.

Also - is there a way to put together a ....package of articles? Maybe take 3-4 articles and say here is a good place to start. Right now they are all set up as difficulty level and area and rating. I don't know, it's just a thought. I wouldn't mind writing the articles or set of articles to cover more bases. I know there are so many tips/tricks and good practices that just are left unsaid (like the linking of arrows/spears to bones vs. binding, making sure to change sort order on emissive materials, save settings, etc.) that could be illustrated as a guide.

I don't know, just throwing out ideas.

You could just make a separate article for that and link to the other articles from there. Then call that article something with "starting".

Or perhaps some sort of catogory like if someone wanted to learn about stealth a group of stealth tutorials would pop up.
Or possibly a colour coding system for the types (eg red for AI).

I think a tag and search system would work. You could put in a few keywords for the article when you make it, and when searching for something it would pop up all on that subject.

I think someone needs to redo AdmiralGT's tuts. They're good, make no doubt about that, but there are things the tuts don't mention that a person would need to know. and other stuff.

Example:
in the tuts, GT put that you only needed to hex edit the farms. actually, you really need to hex edit all the base files, i lesson i had to learn the painful way.

also, his code for the camp citadel is missing VisionRange and ShroudClear.

I would do this myself except that I'm a newbie, and not qualified yet to make such changes.

I think more tutorials which cover different things on modeling could be useful. I started modeling a few days ago and i am having some trouble as some tutorials skip some steps or don't mention it clearly.

Thanks for the tutorial, I've been trying to bind someone with a toggle weapon and been screwing it up, after reading, I've realised I've been binding the weapons to the hands not the weapon bones!

I'm actually going to implement something similar to what robnkarla mentioned above. I won't get around to it immediately, but it's something that will eventually be implemented.
