*********************************** ***RA2 Infantry Creating Package*** *********************************** This package contains max-files, sample textures, lots of bat-files and a txt with the sequence. Things you need: -3dsmax -photoshop or some other gfx-editing program -some time (30~60min) How to use? -open the first model file (eg "Rifleman RA2 1 Stand.max"),select the model and give it a texture using the material browser, be sure that the soldier looks northwards, render the image and save it in \rifle\done\rifle0000.png. now select the model and rotate it 45° counterclockwise and render again. save the image as \rifle\done\rifle0001.png. and so on till you got your 8 standing frames. be sure that you start with 0 and not 1 when counting the images. -open the second model file (eg "Rifleman RA2 2 Walk.max"). angain be sure that your buddy looks northwards and then render. now you go to \rifle\ and double-click on "2 walk1.bat". the files will be copied to \rifle\done\. you may need to reenter the path where the images will be saved while rendering. the path must be the same where your bat files are!!! now rotate the model again 45° counterclockwise and so on and on and on. -the idle and die frames need no rotation. i allready made the 2 directions in seperate max-files. -after you have everything done you got 356 png files that you need to import with os shpbuilder. -resize the canvas so that you shp now has the dimension 144x108. use the massopertion framecopy option to copy all frames (1-356) to frame 357. click "tools\fixes\remove useless shadow pixels" and your basicly done. only some color fixing here and there and you are finally done :P -copy the sequence to your art(md).ini -you can use this pakage to create TS or even TD/RA infantry. you need to rezise the model and adjust the shadowcaster position (got to unhide by name and choose "Target2").For TD/RA shps you need to follow exactly the sequence of the original units and you need to adjust here and there the number of frames you need...oh and of course you need new bat files :P *********************************** **************Credits************** *********************************** -EA: for releasing CNC3 sample art packages (all models are based on those) -OS Shpbuilder -Beer It took me really some time to create this!
