I've been looking forward to post this news update for a very long time. A large part of the mod and our goals have been the campaigns (non-linear, linear, etc.) and the War of the Ring mode, and while the campaign will not be expounded upon in 1.06, the mapping team has laid some of the best ground work in mapping, scripting, etc. to really be able to do justice to Lord of the Rings story. Also, work has begun on many of the new territories of the RJ living map.

While there will not be any new campaign maps, a large number of skirmish maps will be added for 1.06. From converted BFME2 campaign maps, converted BFME1 maps, and some amazing custom maps, I for one feel just honered to be able to watch these creations from start to end. All of the maps listed below will not be finished in time for 1.06, but you should find enough to enjoy and keep you enthralled with Middle-Earth. They are listed in random order with a few screenshots of the different maps.

I must say a HUGE thank you goes out to those part of the RJ Mapping team and the time that they have invested:

So are we suppose to be left speechless from this or what :xcahik_: ?

Don't even worry about not getting any more work done in the campaign. It already seems like there's a lot of beautiful work done to the mod. I am just blown away by the amount of effort that you and the team puts into this mod (<grammar?). Now I can't wait for the next beta release :crazed: !

I hate to throw something else on the team's shoulders.. But I am going to suggest that once you guys are finished the campaign, that someone could possibly consider adding a walk-through/guide for the non-linear campaign. That way the players wouldn't screw up the order of the battles and whatnot. But that would just be something to consider after the campaign is finished.

All of these map-previews are nothing short of amazing, by the way.

Congratulations! :xcahik_:
It has been reported that some victims of rape, during the act, would retreat into a fantasy world from which they could not WAKE UP. In this catatonic state, the victim lived in a world just like their normal one, except they weren't being raped. The only way that they realized they needed to WAKE UP was a note they found in their fantasy world. It would tell them about their condition, and tell them to WAKE UP. Even then, it would often take months until they were ready to discard their fantasy world and PLEASE WAKE UP

To answer the question - RJ is used for my initials Robert J. This mod started as a one-man mod that has grown considerably during that time. It actually started very small in a MyRotWK folder on my laptop, but I changed it to RJ-RotWk when I released the first version very long ago.

While the team has grown, the name has stayed the same for a couple of reasons. First - search capability. It's a very unique name that I can search on the search engines to see if there is anything out there that I might have missed. Very few mod names are able to do this, and it really used to help me track down questions, PR, etc. After time the name also stuck. I've thought about changing the name and my username a few times, but each time it seems like it is too late. I changed robnkarla and that did not really work at all. I've been afraid to lose any name recognition we've worked hard to obtain with each release.

Robert J.
