i think that the gla mobile supply van should be replaced or upgraded. it is so slow with workers gathering supplies that i can't play as gla. (maybe i just suck?) i dont know but i think it should be upgraded or something

I actually feel the same. I used to be able to use them in Contra 005, but now I can't. They seem really really slow. Even their build times seem really slow and I get killed pretty often.
Don't get me wrong, Contra 006 is awesome, but that's my main problem.

Workers gather supplies with the same speed as in Contra 005. The only changes are build time and armor. GLA Supply trucks have 2 times more armor now and 2 times higher build time. But build times were increased for all factions. China and USA build their supply centers slower as well. I can recommend you to build additional Black Markets as soon as possible. (Barracks -> Arms Dealer -> Black Market). You don't need to gain ranksk for it.

hmm, I also have hard times playing with GLA until I have built enough Black Markets. the workers are really slow.
I usually have 6 workers gathering resources from one supply dock or 3 Supply Trucks or 2 Chinooks.
what is the optimal number for each faction? and does it help to have more than one supply building/mobile stash per supply dock?

I think the above numbers are just about right. That's what I use, 3 supply trucks, 2 chinnooks, and 6 workers. Having dual supplies at once dock is useless because only one collector is allowed at a time.

But i have always believed that with workers they all can collect the suppies at the same time.

it seems that they can gather with more the one because they only pick up $75, which takes less time then chinooks for their $600 or trucks for their $300 from what i've seen. and since when do the suplietrucks have a loading animation? only saw that yesterday. but since i am only a user of the modi don't know the specifics.
