Hi all !
First of all, I want to thank you for all the work that has already been done on this mod.
It's been around 1 year or two I first played this mod, and I still consider it as one of the best mod for DoW.
Secondly, I want to point a detail I wished to tell you : the visibility of the forum.
In fact, after 2 months spent looking for anyone that still support this mod on dowfiles.com, I finaly found this forum in a pure last resort action through google typing "harlequins relic".
I found the page that still live thanks to Thud and its community, but it was with pure luck I found it.
The only trail I had before was the link to the former Dance Macabre forum, which is dead actualy.
The only versions dowfiles have are old, and the most recent is for WA. 2 extensions away from our point.
So, while reading the last 10 pages of the relicforum's page, I could see a DC friendly version existed, and a SS one is on the way.
Hopefuly, I found the link to this forum and so here I am.
So just imagine what would be the result for someone with no time enough to find this page. He would drop it, thinking the mod is dead already.

My main idea is that, through dowfiles.com, show a link to this forum, proving the mod isn't dead (it's what I thought when I saw these old version on dowfiles) and giving hope to any DoW player to see a SS version of the Dance Macabre, but also have the possibility to host on this site the DC compatible version of the mod.

Remember, it's only a player experience I give you, not an order nor a directive. Only a reminder to tell you my experience and how uneasy was the quest.

We're linked also from this MASTER LIST.

I haven't had time to go to DoWfiles.com to update the forum link.

Yep I found this page too, but unluckily isn't referred in any site I visited.
It's clear that page helps a lot to find a mod (I saw the proof the space hulk mod is dead, sadly).
It would be good for this page to be shown on dowfiles are any well known site for DoW players.

Yeah DoWfile staffers need to be more apt to keep updating their links to DoW mod projects. They used to but its over 4 years now so people laz off a little.

Regrettably, no because DoW2 = CoH 2.0 = Hideously retarded for modding = You won't have all the amazing creative projects that went into DoW1 with short turn arounds. DoW2 will have better patch and DLC implementation so that I am interested in but alas its now a "locked down" environment so regular users can't do remotely as much as we can in DoW2 as we could in DoW1. Now we entirely rely on the paid devs to "mod our entertainment".

There is still a lot of interest on DoW1 just alone on the acknowledgment that DoW2 is NOT mod-friendly.

Indeed, for my own, I think I will keep fidelity to DoW 1, as DoW 2 gameplay's seems totaly different and looks like much more to Chaos Gate than its big brother DoW 1.

Oh, by the way, I forgot to tell I'm a Harlequin player and fan on the tabletop game. I'm still sharpening my knowledge on these race (I found a good v1/v2 fluff site) and will possibly be able to help you in fluff questions.

Then you'd be perfect for testing. GMB is also our resident Harlies' fluff/codec d00d.

We've actually got a build ready to go. Just have to coordinate with UnD to get it implemented for the internal testers.

actually; DOW 2 wouldn't be mod-friendly, like thud said, but that doesn't say it can't be done. in every game there is always an oppurtunity to modify it; so that will also be with DOW 2

DoW2= As mod-friendly as CoH has been for 2.5+years = makes DoW1 modding look like a cakewalk in comparison.

It'll be impossible to see DoW2 be sustainable if we can't mod our own eye candy into the game.

Indeed, the best we can do to better serve the Laughing God is to wait for our time, and it will come !
