As some of you SEE fans might know, we have a new and awesome fortress model from Digi_byte for the upcoming EvilMen faction in SEE. However, since Beta 4.7 is closing in, I fell I have to make this announcement in time...
I've tried everything I can think of, over and over and over again, and then some more, and then even more. I've read tutorials, and asked around. I've Googled and I've experimented.. but I can NOT solve the increbibly complex problem of adding the fortress into SEE!
Rad from Lone Wolf offered to help, but apparently he can't solve this either. There seem to be a problem with SEE's way of not using the .big system, but a folder system. I can trick WB to show the new fortress by doing a number of weird things which leaves WB graphically crippled. But I have NOOOO idea how to calibrate WB for a few faction. The "Edit Faction" option is complete jibberish to me, and no matter how many times I try I simply can't master it. Rad can calibrate WB obviously since he's added like 10 factions in his mod, but he can't get the Rhun fortress into SEE as he's used to mod via the .big system.
So, this is where we stand...
- Sûlherokhh has left the team long ago, and Robnkarla is missing, and noone knows where he is.
- This means I have noone of such master coder skills to help me do this, which in turn means that I can't get the awesome Rhûn fortress model by Digi_byte into SEE.
- That will render the EvilMen faction without a fortress, and I really don't wanna use the Mordor fortress which I do in the WiP.
- So... since Beta 4.7 is carried to a large extent by the giant update of the EvilMen (Rhûn/Harad) faction, I can't release Beta 4.7 until this is solved.
= SEE might be delayed until further notice, cause of this! Sad but true
I will carry on with other things in the mean time, but I will NOT release Beta 4.7 without the fortress. I just thought I should tell you all, so you'll know in case I can't find a solution any time soon... =/ Sorry
