I think McCain's decision to choose Palin has made me hate him even more, if that were possible. She should have been left to rot in Alaska, instead of being thawed to spread her stupidity.

It would have been nice if she'd had to resign before running for VP. Then Alaska would be rid of the daft woman too. Anyway, McCain's digging his own grave, it doesn't matter that Palin will be in there too.

I'm still finding it hilarious that McCain managed to insult most of Pennsylvania by accident. He's like a stupid and even less deliberate version of Boris Johnson, only without the charm, Etonian style and manic hair. And with about one-tenth the popularity.

The best thing about this story is that this utterly mad woman's lawyer is called Tranquilli. Why would you do that to yourself, though? I can understand the desire to mutilate someone else to prove a point or carry a message, that's a time-honoured tradition, but yourself? Diagnosis: Nutjob.

Wasn't exactly the worst mutilation i've ever seen. If I was a robber that ran around scarring people with knives i would cut deeper than that. The pics I've seen of that wound looks so shallow i wonder if it bled, let alone go through her skin and into her flesh(which is what i would have expected if some robber got on top of you and started cutting into your face with a knife).

anyway, probably an unstable person, but it was a bad time to get busted for doing something like this. its strange that I don't see more news about it though.

Probably being kept quiet until someone can be properly lambasted for it after the elections. Then Obama can go on about how he won "despite some ridiculous attempts at sabotage from the other side" or McCain can say he won "against some wholly unexpected actions from members of my own party" or some such bollocks. It'll come up in some form, eventually. Or maybe nobody cares about some crackpot conservative who slashed herself in the face in the name of politics.

I never understood why someone would HATE someone simply because you disagree with the politics? Do you really HATE him? Just curious. People against Republicans tend to be VERY angry people running around hating people and stuff. I don't hate Obama. Odd...

McCain has served many years in the Senate, is extremely wealthy, excellant military record and is married to a babe even richer than he is.

If he's a moron, than what does that make you? Just curious... :wink_new:

I do agree with Hostile here. Hate is a very strong word to use... I know many Republicans and just because I don't necessarily agree on everything they believe does not mean I hate them. :wink_new:

Well, yeah, don't hate someone for their politics, hate someone for their actions if those actions merit such.

McCain has served many years in the Senate, is extremely wealthy, excellant military record and is married to a babe even richer than he is.

If he's a moron, than what does that make you? Just curious...

Serving in the Senate doesn't guarantee intelligence, ability or even basic levels of common sense. All it guarantees is a desire to lord it over your fellow man, in secret or in public, with maybe a couple of exceptions.

As far as I can tell, McCain's wealth was made mostly by his parents, grandparents and great-grandparents, with him contributing a little bit and buying a lot of houses, and somehow getting jobs with high salaries. The fact that he is married to someone rich is neither here nor there.

I wouldn't necessarily say he's a moron. More senile. And here's the thing about senility: the older you get, the worse it gets. So if he should win next Tuesday, imagine what he'll be like in 8 years. Someone tell me, has the USA ever had a President who had to step down because he became a drooling imbecile?

No, but we have had a president who delivered a two-hour speech in a snowstorm and died of pneumonia two months later. So it isn't as if we haven't had our fair share of drooling imbeciles. :p

Wow... Lamest Presidential career ever. Maybe McCain's hoping to top that with a heart attack ten minutes after the election if he wins. :p

Actually, that would be kinda like the series finale of the West Wing. But that's fiction, and Leo McGarry was awesome and extremely popular, not a complete tool.
