"Please make sure that you have DirectX 9.0 or higher installed. Also verify that your video card meets the minimum requirements, and that you do not have hardware acceleration disabled in the Display control panel."

What I do ? :( halp

My system specs are:

512ram
1.9ghz
GeForce Se 4800 Ti

I already unnistalled the drive card and reinstalled it with the lastest version... The same thing with DirectX 9.0c...

I also make all the tests with the DirectX 9.0c, and it said that is working correctly. I verified the hardware accelaration in Display Control Panel, and is everything right...

and beside the things, I not running RA3 :(

Didn't you read the system requirements for RA3?

RA3 stated the minimum video card is a GeForce 6800 with 256MB of VRAM. GeForce video cards with a 6600 and under will not work on RA3, thence your GeForce 4800 Titanium is incompatible.

But in the site "can you run it ?" my computer could run the game...

And my friend with a FX 5200 is running the game...

(I run C&C3 at very low without any problems)

A Geforce 4, sub-standard model will NOT run the game, no chance. The fact you can apparently run CnC 3 with it is surprising, We're talking about hardware a decade and 7 generations out of a total of 11 out of date...

The minimum requirement for the game is an NVIDIA GeForce 6800, ATI Radeon X1800 or higher end DirectX 9.0c compatible gfx card.

<sighs>... is it really that difficult for people just to scroll down to the RA3 forum?

~Topic moved.

Also, if you need help on a Red Alert 3 issue, you don't post in both the C&C3 and RA3 forums.
CNC3.net is Tiberium Wars and Kane's Wrath only.
Red Alert 3, go here.

The minimum requirement for the game is an NVIDIA GeForce 6800, ATI Radeon X1800 or higher end DirectX 9.0c compatible gfx card.

GeForce 4800 SE won't run, because it is a simply disguised GeForce 2 card.

But the system requirements they've set are really not really the minimum.

The important thing is:

DirectX 9.0c compatible gfx card.

My laptop has a Geforce Go 6150, with 128mb of ram, which is much worse than Geforce 6800 and it runs the game flawlessly. No lag at all. And I believe that this onboard video card is just as bad as or worse than the FX 5200 that Balizk mentioned above.

Oh... :p

I know that my computer sucks... But I was hoping to run RA3 at Extra Supreme Bodacious Ultra Low :p

And actually I don't have money (my parents<) to buy a new computer [yes i need other things/upgrades besides the video card]

World is evil

GeForce 4800 SE won't run, because it is a simply disguised GeForce 2 card.

Only the MX series were disguised as GF2 cards. The Ti series were based off of a modified GF3 chipset...

Yea, you are right. Sorry. Anyway, it is still not a DirectX 9.0c compatible grafics card.

So after 10 posts we have learnt the following.

a) Your computer sucks.
b) You should read the minimum requirements of a game on the back of the box before purchasing it.
c) You have no real idea of how our thread structure works.
d) You're a kid living with your parents.
e) You suck.

That is all

The letters a, b and d are right. And e applies to you. If you have nothing useful to add to a thread, don't waste your time with it.

Honestly, Zalman is a way too expensive brand. You can pay better things with your money than simply choosing Zalman products. Btw, your processor is out of date too, but what you have still runs the game quite well.

a) Yes I know :(

b) I did it... BUT < my friend played the game with a FX5200 (and I didn't know that FX5200 is different and can run), I went to the site "system requirement lab" and it said that my VideoCard can run.... Also, my friends told me that RA3 is "like" C&C3, and I can run C&C3...

c) I was reading the post in C&C3 thread about the system requirements and them I created a topic... In 2 minutes I saw the mistake I made :( sorry

d) I'm 15 years old, I live only with my mother, (my parents are divorced)... And I don't think that I can live by myself now.

e) :(

I'm doing it lol

Well... thanks for the repplies :p

Zalman is the embodiment of quality for price though. Cooled down my video card by some 35 degrees celsius, so I'd say I'm rather satisfied... RA3 is a game that relies primarily on the video card. I have a slightly overclocked Athlon 3000 and a Geforce 7800gt (also slightly clocked). I can run RA3 on medium/high details with perfect FPS. The only thing that slows it down a lot is if I put shaders on ultra high or water on high, so I keep both on medium and it's fine.
