[Rafv Nin IV]

As has been pointed out before, a phalanx is a tightly-packed formation of pikes, and the Dwarven "phalanx" is anything but. I'd like a name-change to "Halberders" or something else for the next beta. It's minor, but it'd help me not to be disgusted at EA's idiocy every time I have to counter cav

Same here. It'd be nice and fit their weapons...but beyond that...I don't see any other reason.

It'd take about ten seconds to change, so it's not like it's any big deal. Just an aesthetic change.

Aye. I would like to hold off changing a good number of the current soundsets. At least until I can get some of the new ones complete and ready for recording.

So, yeah, even if it is aestethic, I don't want ot change it. Yet.

I usually am content and don't care very much about aesthetics and minor things like names, but this name is just shit. Even if u keep the soundbits where they mention that they're phalanxes, it would end one of my biggest pet peeves of the mod if u simply changed some text and made their name less retarded

Only reason I wouldn't like the name is because a Phalanx sounds like an organ located above your trachea and esophegus that acts like a road block that leads air and food where they need to go. Yea, that's got Dwarf pike unit writen all over it...

We should just go with something simple like Dwarven Sentery or something. No need for a complex name for a simple unit.

Yeah, Dwarven Sentry is okay. A halberd is a completely different kind of weapon, though. It looks much more like an axe, and is used for fighting infantry, not cavalry. And those Dwarves are definately carrying pikes, not halberds. So Dwarven Sentries make a lot more sense.
