The Official Red Alert 3 Demo for the PC has been released today by EA.

This single player demo includes the full seven minute opening cinematic for the game (to get you into the mood), the three tutorial missions and a campaign mission for the Soviets and Allies.

Krasna-45: Circus of Treachery – The second mission of the Soviet campaign, players will immediately be introduced to battling the series’ newest faction, the Empire of the Rising Sun, escorting the Soviet’s commando Natasha to a launch facility, protecting her from the Imperial ambush division waiting to attack.

Heidelberg: The Famous Liberation – Players will then switch their attention over to the Allied cause, in the third mission in the Allied campaign, teaming up with an in-game Co-Commander to take out the Soviet’s powerful Iron Curtain and headquarters in Germany.

So for those of you still deciding whether to buy RA3 or not, or those who just want to see what all the fuss is about - this is for you. You can download it straight from EA (1.8GB)

They really weren't happy when choosing the contents of this demo. I mean, the tutorial missions are awful. The worse tutorial I've ever seen. The circus mission is also weak compared to most other missions. At least the allied mission is fun.

But there are many better missions there. So far nothing beats the last allied mission. That one is pure awesomeness!

They should really have done the first 1/2 missions from each faction and a skirmish mode. Or just skirmish mode considering MP is such a big deal nowadays.

I agree, the demo was too short for me to really enjoy it. but it was still somewhat fun at least.

Background process. Has something to do with some activity going on somewhere. Sorting junkmail, I think. No value or interest. Doesn't do much except hog resource.

Not even nearly.

Edit: Off the back of this I wouldn't even waste my time downloading a pirated version, let alone spend any money on a legal one.

Meh, seems like only safe EA software is cracked EA software nowadays.

ARGUMENT FROM CREATION, a.k.a. ARGUMENT FROM PERSONAL INCREDULITY (I)
(1) If evolution is false, then creationism is true, and therefore God exists.
(2) Evolution can't be true, since I lack the mental capacity to understand it; moreover, to accept its truth would cause me to be uncomfortable.
(3) Therefore, God exists.

Because the people who make those kinds of decisions lost the plot a fair while ago.

Jesus.

1. Why would EA put DRM in a demo?
2. Why didn't they mention it?
3. Can anyone link me to the program that can remove SecuROM?

EA have an official SecuRom deinstaller on their website, in their FAQ somewhere.
