EDIT: heres what ive typed up on the first faction [attachment=21506:Undead.rar]
Every faction will be unique entirely but not completely off cannon, Since the limitations of the engine it will still be an RTS mod but should be balanced and have high quality like an official game.
So welcome to the Drawing board for "War of the Gods"

First up Ive done some layouts of it and have selected some texts that I find most suitable for it

I like numbers 2,3 and 7.

For the moment I've bee using mixed fonts and I've posted this thread As I've hit a decision dilemma
I was hesitant to upload the full sheet of fonts so I picked a few out of the list So Here is a full spread sheet of all the fonts I considered + a few in the corner you may recognize

Enjoy this taste of font overload

where can I find more info on this mod and finding what text seems a bit of an unusual thing to start off with.
Egalmoth wore a blue mantle upon which the stars were broidered in crystal.
The leader of the House of the Heavenly Arch.
Alone of all the Noldor, he used a curved sword.

The people of the Heavenly Arch was arrayed in many colours and their arms were set with with jewels and their shields was blue as the sky.Egalmoth got out of the burning Gondolin and came to the Mouth of Sirion

Well, background information on the mod helps decide what tpe of font you should use for the name of your mod. Depending on what and when it is based.

Well the issue is at the moment T3a wont approve my mod yet since no work has been started on it.

But basically its a total conversion mod for BFME2 where each faction is unique entirely, I'm applying for a section for this to be hosted, and I'll let you know in here if it gets approved, I don't wish to fill up this section with ideas on my mod.

By the name, the mod has an interesting tone to it. Let me know when you have posted information on it. As for the font, i chose number 6, since the name "War of the Gods" has an ominous tone to it then the font could fit it well. Whats the name of the font? until now i have never seen a font like it.

Well factions still need to be decided as this is an open project

So far I plan on an undead/underworld faction currently called Undead

and the next faction im going to start thinking about is a tech/sci-fi section

I had a poll a little while ago you might remeber called War of the ****

the poll was to choose where I should take it and the name of the mod, 23 votes for "gods" so that won.

T3A will not host you untill you have work done, so you should start even if they havn't hosted you yet, or else you'll never get any work done on it.

I like the idea of this mod from what I know. Can you give us some more basic information, though, and I will help you with ideas. Is this at all based on anything LotR (more like RC Mod) or is it completally original? '

I voted for fonts 1, 6 and 7.

Oh, btw, I like the idea of the undead faction, but I think it should be more like underworld, but have Lampade-like creatures, and spirits (like wraiths and barrow-wights in BFME) and maybe skeletons, but not Zombies.

I also think a sci-fi one would be a little weird but maybe not if they were not overpowered.

Completly original, I'm scrapping the whole LOTR stuff but using the same BFME2 engine

The undead faction is still a WIP they are more of an underworld faction how ever there working name is undead until i can settle on a name for them

Well Id actually be nice to have a section to work in, development needs a home If i cant have one yet, Then where do I post?

Number one is the standard LOTR font called Ring bearer

Also last night i started some work on the mod and have modeled and textured Mu'Gathů all he needs now is a skeleton and animations

I have started on Xi but he needs a few more weeks of modeling as he's very compilcated
Also i have started work on Vith and most of her dragon is modeled so far

Looks great. Model is very similar to that of the image, well done. For the skeleton, you could use the skeleton of the base for the model you used and change it from there.

Actually I plan to make a skeleton from scratch, So I can also use mocap data.
Unfortunately its almost impossibly to convert or modify the w3d bones into animation data to be used on a biped as the biped data is lost and is only a bunch of bones.

well actually there not even technically a "bone" in w3d files

I say font 4 though I couldn't be bothered voting.
So I guess this what you've been up to.

I think you should go zombies it would be kind of cool to just send them in waves.

Did you still want that mage design from ages ago?
