Then after a while you release a pack of maps and modders may use the maps on thier mod, but of course give credit...
So what do you guys think?

I really don't do requests and my Arnor Soldier is not fit for BFME. Don't ask me for either.

Rules of beingTech-Support Guy: Never, ever EVER offer free tech support. Why?
First off, you are lowering the value of your skills. If you offer your time and money to serve others fore FREE, you are valuating yourself as worth $0.00.
Second, if something breaks (REGARDLESS of how long after your visit or if it was even related to your project) your "customer" will blame you on a dime. You will have to go back and fix his machine, spending MORE time and money WHILE having him bitch at you for "breaking it" in the first place.
Third, every noob and his mother will be begging you for support.
Fourth, people will try to exploit your good deeds for personal gain.
All these apply to creating any kind of asset pack for anything. If some idiot tries to install your assets without knowing what he is doing, he might break something in his mod. When he does that, he will sit around bitching at you for breaking it, and demand that you fix it. Some people will blatantly steal your crap, others will spam your PM box with countless "lol how do i install dis???" messages.
If you have the heart, patience and nerves of steel to do something like this, go ahead... But yes, it is an INSANELY thankless job.

We could make are prupose for people to never have to do the same map a million times, but then aside that allow mods to take are maps.

Much of modding is about learning new skills and abilities. It does not matter if people make the same faction. Each one is unique in terms of coding and artwork. What bothers me is how many people make Rohan factions, if they all make new models than it's a HUGE waste of time.

Besides Rohan can be unique in many ways as Rob38 said.
