Summon Huginn and Muninn could be a spell more like Crebain or Eye of Sauron, used for scouting and revealing stealth... It could be Odin-specific, if there are any god-specific spells.

We need to work out the following.

Units
Upgrades
Buildings
Spells
Heroes

So let's compile a list for each of these categories.

I find units are best to start with when creating tech trees. Everything else seems to follow.

I think we can all agree a Berserker unit should be included. It would act similarly to the Isengard Berserker, I guess.

We will also need at least one Archer, Basic infantry, cavalry and anti-cavalry (or some sort of unit strong against cavalry and crush,) I guess. And a siege weapon or two.

I remember Huskarl, Jarl, Ulfsark, Berserker.

Hmmm.. Yeah, In AoM they just had a Longhouse and Hill Fort, for standard and elite units, respectfully. No stable structure. I think this is a great idea.

It seems likely that Archers would have Seax knives as a secondary weapon: this would be great for their melee attack (when the enemy gets up close.)

For a heavier spearman, anti-cavalry unit, I think a shield could be used, with the BFME1 citadel guard anims.

Here's an idea of a structure:

Axeman
Archer
Spearman
Swordsman?
Heavy Spearman
Stronger Archer?
Stronger Axeman?
Elite Swordsman (Huscarl,)*
Elite Axeman (Berserker,)*
Leader (Jarl)*

Additional Units:
Ulfsark?
Axe Thrower?

? Optional/Maybe unit (less likely to use)
*Possibly single unit

Aren't those all kinda the same thing? and we need a siege weapon.

Yeah, of course not all of those can be included. It's just a basic idea. Some need to be removed, and a siege weapon needs to be added.

So I'm thinking something like this:

Cavalry (Medium Horde, maybe ten, standard horsemen w/ standard upgrades)
Archer (Larger Horde, Maybe twelve or fifteen, knife for close-range attack, standard upgrades, bombard, longshot maybe.)
Axeman (Larger Horde, Maybe twelve or fifteen, standard upgrades, secondary formation, maybe)
Spearman (Larger Horde, Maybe twelve or fifteen, standard upgrades, secondary formation, maybe)
Heavier Spearman (Medium Horde, maybe ten, with shield wall formation)
Huscarl (Small horde, maybe six, special ability, elite swordsman,)
Berserker (Single unit with charge/rage attack, Unupgradable or just Forged Blades)
Jarl (Single unit with mount/dismount, maybe? Leadership, maybe. Unupgradable)
*Siege Weapon or two*

How does that sound?

Axemen are different than swordsmen, though. Or at least we can make them different enough. Chop damage can be used (or at least it is in RotWK).
