By media hosting, I'm assuming you mean voxels and SHPs and such?

Yes.

For the time being, YR Argentina fulfils this role.

Yes, but that defeats the purpose of pulling in an active crowd directly to this forum.

The only media type we don't appear to have hosting for is 3D models, for the likes of Generals and later games. This is certainly an option we can provide for, if people are willing to submit such material.

It might not be as active at voxels and shps, due to the lack of modelers in the community vs 2d artists.. but maybe. just maybe it could have an impact on activity.

What? o.o You're fucking kidding me. Diablo 2 not moddable?

Phrozen Keep, Diablo 2 modding 'Revora'

Median 2008 / Median XL homepage, IMO the best mod out

ModDB's page on the mods available, note that several bigger ones are missing

So. What's this bull about Diablo 2 not being moddable? I've modded it myself. It's as easy as modding Red Alert 2 or Yuri's Revenge. I hate when people talk about what they don't know about.

Yes, but that defeats the purpose of pulling in an active crowd directly to this forum.

Well, the Voxel and SHP Discussion forums are the most similar to what you've been describing.
The only thing is that our voxelling and SHP community has never been as active as PPM's. The spotlights are a good idea, but we don't have the activity in that area to warrant it.
If activity picks up there, then yes, we could implement your ideas in some form.

Revora needs to stop growing. Stop trying to make a bunch of new places to go. Absorb other networks if you need to expand.

Any particular reason?

My suggestion would be to ban people who make unjustified and completely random statements.

There's plenty of justification behind that statement.

Half the site's dead. You keep adding on new parts but you don't advertise them. The new Blizzard section is going to remain relatively empty as opposed to absorbing a modding site. This entire Blizzard idea has been nothing but bad juju from the start.

And I wouldn't start threatening bans in an offensive way.

modder666 is pretty right actually. If divisions like C&C Guild, once one of biggest C&C modding-related websites are pretty inactive and nowadays almost nobody outside the community knows about it why create new divisions? Old ones should be brought back to power and supported as much as possible, before creating completely new ones. How can something young work if older stuff is in ruin?

Absorption of smaller, but working and active communities who need things Revora could provide them is also an option.

My suggestion would be to ban people who make unjustified and completely random statements.

And this was completely uncalled for, if used in modder666's direction.

Actually that's being worked on behind the scenes. There will be a website update for the Guild soon (and another one at a later point) and we're planning to bring together all the C&C sites in our network to create one unique location that covers everything C&C. You can already see some parts of that by the merger of the forums. Once this is done we can start re-promoting and re-advertising it, for I firmly believe there is still a lot of unused or forgotten potential left at the C&C Guild.

In fact all your input regarding the Guild is highly appreciated and we're also on the lookout for people who want to play a more active role in that process. If you feel you wish to do more than giving feedback, please head to the recruiting topic for the C&C Guild.

If I'm going to complain about the Guild, I might as well try to do something about it. I applied.

Well what can you do? Really the only things I see that could help it are recruiting more members for Revora CnC and the gamer clan idea.

How aboot (yes, I meant to say aboot ;) ) a TCG forum? We'll have WoW, MTG, Pokemon, maybe more? And possibly having a forum(s) for making our own, for the creative people among us?

Hello everyone. I am back.

if you want to dicuss trading card games (TCG) you can do so in media discussion. we don't need a forum for them unless the number op topics about them gets pretty large

They aren't media, though, they're cards.

Card gaming died with Yu-Gi-Oh(!). If this was 5 years ago, I would have said heck yes and throw in my vote. I guess we can ruin the Pokemon franchise more by creating an extra 101 fruity animals. But even the shows aren't that popular anymore. Tune in to see Ash and his racist-ly diverse friends almost fail again.

Well... it's just sort of weird, honey. But it would be interesting. Something that won't hurt us trying. But I can't see that happening.

Never payed for any of my cards... oh wait, i think i got one of those tiny card packs. You know not the big ones with a whole lot in them, but the little ones that are suppose to have just a couple of random ones and one or two good/shiny ones. Those were pokemon cards btw.

Every other one i got was given to me for free :shiftee2:
Although i never really had them/played when they were the latest craze, sorta missed out all that excitement :/

Is it possible to implement some way to re-organise pinned threads? IE set them in a customized order
Its a feature I find most helpful in other CMS, And I believe it would be quiet helpful here as well allowing hosted, staff and admins to prioritize pinned threads

Also can we do something about the [IMG] tags as well?
Obviously we want to squash the users images, But every now and then the forum header images get scaled down as well, Like the Green dragon, Tournaments and competitions and so on....

What's wrong with image tags? Are you crusading against all pictures?

Card gaming died with Yu-Gi-Oh

Yea, I agree. Maybe I should have said "After Yu-Gi-Oh(!)"... though when does a card collection ever have a strict timeline?
