So...yeah. I was browsing the internet to find a mod I for BFME II I didn't play, and I found this.

What do you guys think of it? Could it get awesome? Or would it turn out to be a huge flaw or isn't it going to be a game? I myself think they could have had a better title, since the War in the North was the subject of II...

This is a different company then EA, since they lost their license. So technically they don't have anything to do with BFME1 or BFME2. That gives me hope. :evgr:

In addition to that, the license was very recently acquired, which means they have lots of time to finish the game. That means that, even if it isn't stellar, it won't be an unfinished piece of crap like Conquest.

So, it's going to be a new game in the BfME series?

Nevermind that. :evgr: One website says that there are two Lord of the Rings games that have been announced: Aragorn's Quest and The War in the North. So it must not be a BfME thing, but a LotR mulit-platform game, I guess.

Says who? Honestly, you're assuming a lot. :evgr: It could be an RTS, but it wouldn't be part of the BFME series because that's the property of EA, and EA's not making LotR-themed games anymore.

I don't know. :evgr: I guess we'll just have to wait and see if it even comes to pass. :sad2:

Maybe they'll buy the title "The Lord of the Rings, The Battle for Middle Earth III, *insert subject of new game here* " :D

No, because then they'd have to buy the 'Battle for Middle-Earth' rights from EA.
It has been reported that some victims of rape, during the act, would retreat into a fantasy world from which they could not WAKE UP. In this catatonic state, the victim lived in a world just like their normal one, except they weren't being raped. The only way that they realized they needed to WAKE UP was a note they found in their fantasy world. It would tell them about their condition, and tell them to WAKE UP. Even then, it would often take months until they were ready to discard their fantasy world and PLEASE WAKE UP

It can't be an RPG without mages, and it can't be LotR with mages..

Seems to be an obvious choice: Learn from Conquest and drop the mages!

These games to me are only fun if they are immersive; ie. they need to stop making shit up and actually use the tremendous amount of lore they licensed. Mages destroy the immersion, leaving behind what is most likely a pretty weak game.

Yeah , I guess their going for the "trend" , and there is where they do wrong.

I guess what everybody wants from a game is a loooooong campgain , where you can do lots of quests in all the lands of Middle-Earth with not too much fighting , I mean play the books themselves .

Not really..

I do want a loooong campaign, with lots of quest, in all of Middle-Earth if possible, but the key word is War in the North, so probably not.
But I want to fight, oh indeed I want to fight :p

Yeah fighting is the best part :p I really want a LotR game where you really fight around 500 uruks or something at the same time and they come all at the same time.
