Hi, everyone....
Sorry to bring this up, but i cannot understand what's wrong....
Why are there problems with CreateAHero while playing for Rohan faction?
When I tried to edit data\ini\createaherosystemwizard.inc (as an example) as follows:
From:
UsableFactions = Men Elves Dwarves Isengard Mordor Wild Angmar Arnor
To
UsableFactions = Men Elves Dwarves Isengard Mordor Wild Angmar Arnor Rohan
i got an error while launching the game:
"Token 'Rohan' is not a valid member of the index list"
But in data\ini\playertemplate.ini the description for Rohan is Ok
It's also strange, that one might start game with Random hero for Rohan.
And another bug is that when you play on LAN for Rohan and your opponent tries to choose any CreateAHero a network timeout occurs, while trying to export a Hero from one host to another.
I wonder if anyone faced this troubles?

You can only have 8 factions, hardcoded.

I believe this happens with all new factions added to the game, like Rohan and the MotE. You are unable to select the Create-Heroes correct?
There is a way to get around this problem. In the pic above, I have my cursor selected on the create-a-hero called "Syl, " but I can't choose her. To get her to work, first I left-click on her, then press the first letter of her name on the keyboard, which in this case is "S."
Ta-da! The CaH's for Rohan and the MotE are selected. Their names look greyed-out, but they should appear as a recruitable hero when the skirmish starts. I'm not sure if this will work on LAN though. Hope this helps.

Though, it's temporary measure, i'll try to check out what's this all about...
I doubt that it is realy "hard"coded...

I don't think anyone's ever found a way around that, but you can definitely try...

wow thx oblivionater, that's a brilliant tip, you can even use it to play an evil create a hero with a good faction, if you want to mix things up a bit. The only problem is that it does replace one of the factions heroes, for instance i couldn't use Hama when i was playing as Rohan and using a create a hero. Still thankyou
