Paying for 1.5mbps, and usually get that but my routers a bit dodgy these days. Fortunately my ISP hosts their own Steam servers, so at least half my game downloads are at a solid 1.6 and don't mess with my low limits (30Gb/month)

Reposting as I have a new laptop. This has inbuilt wireless unlike my old one (and they are more reliable than card ones) and it's draft N so I think that's good. Only 2.5 hours before I took the first test so the time of day should affect the results.
Odd... I'll redo it again

Btw, I've tested my connection with a different server and I've got slightly better results.

Paris? There's hardly anyone civilized there to use the internet. No wonder it's shappy.

Banshee only switched the server to test the speed with, which has nothing to do with your actual internet. And if you loose connections with one / get a bad connection with one, you can just switch. That's handy. Hmm... if only there was a way to use two servers at once...
