Hi guys...
I installed the game now on two ways: The "old" way and the new way for Vista. Now I tried to start with the new shortcut, it comes the loading screen. Then after some seconds the screen disappears. After one second it appears again and then the game crashes with the following error-message:
Can anybody help me??

Well, sorry for the doublepost, but it worked now. I reinstalled BFME2 and set the language to English and downloaded Patch 1.06.
And I have another cool message:
THE MOD WORKS WITH WINDOWS 7 ENTERPRISE!!!!
Now I'll play it

That error appears when you haven't the current patch

I have the same problem here, though I have the latest patch. Any thoughts?

Reinstall like the guy in the first post said? Language english, latest patch, exactly what the lad said, then check if it works.

I have Vista and have been trying to get this mod to work for my boyfriend forever. :s
My SEE folder is extracted to C:\
Target & Start in are as follows:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth II\lotrbfme2.exe" -mod "C:\SEE"
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth II"
I have tried both -mod SEE and -mod "C:\SEE" to no avail.
I have also re-downloaded the mod itself and tried extracting it to different areas (AppData, Doc, etc.)
I have a legal original copy in English and have completely uninstalled and reinstalled twice (double checked all folders and computer for any stray files that might be messing things up), as well as double checking the fact that my patch is 1.06
I always get this pop up when game starts, and then it immediately has to close :C
Please help! I'm at the end of my rope D:
