Welcome to SEE mod

I am assuming you followed the download/installation instructions, yes?

At what part is your installation not following along as prescribed? Are you saying you dont see the installation files, or something else? Is it the game wont play when you click the shortcut you created? I need a little clarity on your issue, thanks!

if your talking about the where the mod files go for 7, then yes this is where they should be. Granted I havent played the mod or even downloaded it in soooooo long :shiftee:, but if Naz uses the BIG file method, then it should be there. Least that's where I put my BIG file lol.

EDIT:
av8r does the mod come with an installer or just install directions?

Here's a simple solution.
Put your mod folder in C:\. No subfolders.
Change the end of the Target path of your shortcut to -mod "C:\SEE".

Sorry Guys,

I still can't figure out how to get this to run on Windows 7. I attempted to put the SEE folder into the "C:\" without any subfolders. I tried to run it but the original game ran instead. Then, I tried to extract the folder again into the actual BFME II game files folder but that didn't work either.

Here is where my files are located:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth ™ II

Any suggestions?

Thanks

You have to be careful when extracting. All the files are in a folder already, but if you extract to a folder, you get a folder within a folder (C:/SEE/SEE/) which won't work. So check for that.

Also, Amazing Job to the SEE team for this awesome mod!

I copied the contents of the SEE folder into the location of where i installed BFMEII and changed the Target to have the -mod SEE on the end. For the Record the SEE folder itself is also in the folder.

I removed the SEE folder, and the game crashed before it loaded.

I took the "-mod SEE" off the Target, and the game loaded the same...like this. http://i47.tinypic.com/j5a0ph.jpg

You put the mod in...
%appdata%
then My Battle for Middle-earth™ II Files
then you make the target thing -mod SEE :p
It should work then :D
(C:\Users\****\AppData\Roaming\My Battle for Middle-earth™ II Files)

its purple... on your screen thats not good... i suggest you reinstall the BFME 2 game...

hi all, I'm new here and just download the mod, after doing hundreds of tests I installed the mod and play properly in Windows 7 is so easy and yet so difficult, simply copy the folder mod in C: \ and then the direct access you have to put this route:
Destination: "C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Electronic Arts \ The Battle for Middle Earth II \ lotrbfme2.exe"-mod C: \ SEE "here is very important quotes, because if they do not work get the same .
And to start in: "C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Electronic Arts \ The Battle for Middle Earth II", thanks for this great mod nazgul and greetings from Spain.

Sorry for my English, but Spanish and soi is the translation of google translator

Hello everyone, I am posting here after trying *desperately* to get this mod to work. I've scoured every single post and thread I could find, trying various described tactics to get this thing to work to no avail. To preface, I am on Windows 7 with the game completely updated with the latest patch.

Here's what I am doing and please point me to any errors that you see:

1. With WinRAR, I extract the SEE file into C:\ (as suggested by a few people here).
2. I extract the BFME2 - Special Extended Edition.Ink file to my desktop.
3. I open the properties of the above file listed in #2 and change the Target to:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth ™ II\lotrbfme2.exe" -mod "C:\SEE"
4. I change the Start In to:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth ™ II

It is here at step 4, after changing the Target and Start In, that I get an error message saying, quote:
"The name 'C:\Program' specified in the Target box in not valid. Make sure the path and file name are correct."

I've tried various things to fix this, such as downloading the SEE file into:
C:\Users\Travis\AppData\Roaming\My Battle for Middle-earth™ II Files
But wasn't sure how to go about editing the paths within the Properties of the shortcut to reflect this, since seemingly all of the instructions given by random users here are incomplete or are not explained well.

A long time ago I had this mod working on another computer and enjoyed it sooo much! Now after returning to the game, I would really really love to get this mod working on this computer.
I appreciate all the hard work that went into this mod and I'm looking forward to a clear, helpful response to this post!

Thanks a ton!

You need to do "" on both sides of the target... So it should be:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth ™ II\lotrbfme2.exe" -mod "C:\SEE"
and
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth ™ II"
