It always striked me as a bit odd to use Galadriel's mirror as the statue of choice for elves. It's really just a regular silver bowl filled with spring water. Isn't a statue of Varda (Elbereth), most revered of the Vala among the Eldar, a far more inspiring sight?

Or at least a statue of Gil-Galad, the last high king in Middle Earth. Or perhaps Ëarandil, since we have a strong Rivendell presence.
Galadriel's mirror could be re-used as a Far Sight building with a long cooldown.

EDIT: I actually meant the fountain structure, as has been pointed out below.

The statue is a Noldor warrior actually.... =) The mirror serves as their "fountain" to replenish and heal units...

Oh yes, you are correct! I should have said "fountain" probably. The general ideal remains though! A fountain with the above themes would seem more suitable than a bowl of water. I keep picturing all those parched elves sneaking past Galadriel to drink from her precious mirror despite of the "Don't touch the water!" warning.

I agree with Ralph. There should be some other healing structure (not a fountain as that is too cliche) and the Mirror of Galadriel should have another purpose.

It's also weird because you can build many of them and I don't think Galadriel had that many mirrors... :p
Ignited into the world in a flash of lightning, it gleams faintly in the heart of its mother, wood. It begins as an ember, a mere wisp of heat and colour. Its chance of survival at this critical moment is minute, yet it fights on, against the unforgiving cold, against the depths of night and against its mortal enemy: rain.

Perhaps a special tree with mist coming out of the bottom to heal and conceal any nearby units
No chance of returning....Zero chance of surviving....Well!? When do we get started?

I see your logic... :p

Well, we will exchange the elven mallorn trees for "real" elven farms, so... we could use the mallorn trees for this purpose. Just throw some mist FX around it and maybe some extra embers flying around and they'd make a pretty good source of healing... =)

in the secondary resource thread, i proposed that the mallorn tree is the main resource-getting building, while the elven farm is called a "garden", and sends out healers to collect the bushes and shrubs on the map.

as for the mirror of galadriel, i'm fine with it being the healing structure, but it could also have a special power to see the whole map.
