Seemingly to see that there are less and less new threads being posted here in the C&C3 and RA3 modding forum sections. It appears the inactivity of the CNC3 and RA3 modding forums here are becomingly frequent. Most C&C3 and RA3 modding support have been all gone to the official CNC forums as well as PPMsite forums. Possibly the most frequent activity of CNC modding is Fallout Studios in which people are still modding C&C Generals Zero Hour.

Before then there are numerous C&C3 modding questions here, until it dissipated after I was gone and banned here. For RA3 modding, there's not much luck there. For then I thought that this forum is about to be dead, but it's still going as long as some users are present.

And as for this moment and for the final time for my posting, I am signing off from this forum for good. I am also through with CNC modding as well. Until then, farewell.

PPM still has an okay amount of C&C3 modding, followed by Fallout Studios. I wouldn't know about RA3 modding activity on forums since I don't follow it.

To be honest, I as a modder have given up on asking for help, because frankly.. I never got any damn responses.. The cnc3 community isnt exactly as sharing as the cnc generals community was back in the day (in my experience anyway), even though it's basically still the same people..

It also was the fact that cnc3.net was stripped and it's forums scoured and melted into the Guild. Since then there has been practically no action. I think it was a poor decision in hind sight.

Except that has nothing to do with the low activity because, in fact, the activity was just as low (if not lower) before. The point is that CNC3.net and C&C3 modding as a whole didn't take off at all.

The person who was saving the C&C3 modding section a while ago (Mastermind) has disappeared.

It wasn't MM who created 18k responses in the CNC3 section. It was people who were here or googled it. You can't Google CNC3.net anymore. Because some people destroyed it. The site was declared a failure by the leaders here. It wasn't only famous. It was the 3rd highest popular forum when they found it to be a failure. It was never a failure. It was destroyed by a few people at the top despite the money I paid. It was eliminated.

CNC3 modding at Revora failed because some people made it fail. They forced it to fail despite whatever success it had. It was more successful than many other projects at Revora. CNC3.net was discredited due to politics. CNC3.net got some of us Revorians to go to EA GAMES. Maybe that is why they hate...Revora should never have turned it's back on CNC3.net. It wasn't fair.

That's so far away from the truth that it isn't even funny anymore. You can ask everyone and they will tell you that C&C3 modding didn't take off at any point. None of the big C&C modding sites have a C&C3 modding section that is nearly as active as for older C&C games. CNC3.net had a good start but it simply didn't follow through.

But feel free to blame us if it makes you feel better. Bart and me alone wrecked C&C3 modding, out of pure evilness.

It wasn't MM who created 18k responses in the CNC3 section.

The C&C3 editing forum did not have that many posts. And people asked questions there because they knew that people like Mastermind, Golan and few others would possibly reply to help them.

Also, you must take in cosideration that the engine of C&C3 and RA3 are different tham Generals. Many Generals moders tryed to migrate to C&C3, but they quited, since the engine is truly limited, both RA3 and C&C3. Let's hope the best for C&C4 modability...

kudos to Pasidon for this awesome avvy and siggy!

The way cnc4 is designed I doubt that it'll attract that many modders from the old cnc games... it's hardly worth the legacy of it's name in my opinion.

It's hopeless. :)

EA's current policy on focusing on online content and dependence to prevent piracy is controversial with increasing the flexibility and lowering the learning curve of the game engine for modders.

Well, thanks to Jonwil now, we now have some hope for the RA3 Uprising source codes available to download for the RA3 mod sdk.

It's a problem with the nature of the files being compiled. That meant there were a few masters, but they can't possibly spend all their time answering everyone's questions. They were spread too thin.

I totally agree with you. It really isn't worthy enough to be part of the CNC family. Seriously? No base building?!

I wonder if the modding process will require an internet connection like the game does?

C&C4 is failure par excellence. Not even modding can fix the sheer amount of fail that it represents.
