Right.

GLA Demo general. A very powerful general, not to be under estimated. He, along with stealth General make up the 2 "terrorist" faction groups and focus on more traditional and classic GLA play style. He has strong units which make a strong defence and strong base defences. His powers can be very deadly when used correctly in conjunction with a good attacking force

Chemical and Assault Generals are now more focused on being third world armies.

His Powers are as follows:

RANK 1

Infiltrate Supply - Intel power which reveals enemy supply centres
Favour Aggression - Substitutes escalation for Rank. (Tech 1 = Rank 2, Tech 2 =Rank 3, Tech 3 = Rank 5)
Exploders - 30% HP and damage to all exploding units (terrorists, bomb trucks etc)
Classic Warfare - Unlocks the Marauder tank, Dana Artillery and the Fatwa Bomber

RANK 3 (Going vertically down the generals points)

Infiltrate Command - Reveals enemy command centre, Infiltrate Intel - Reveals all enemy units, Sabotage - Spawns 1 Saboteur
Demotrap Pit fall (3 ranks) - Spawns demo traps (1, 2 and 4 demo traps)
Rebel ambush (3 ranks) - 4, 8 and 16 rebels spawn at target location
Cash bounty (3 ranks)
Subtlety (1 rank) - Allows player to research subtlety upgrade from command truck which allows stealth for all suicide units.

RANK 5

Mass sabotage - (1 rank) Shuts down ALL buildings in a large AoE (Follows the tree from Infiltrate generals points, requires Sabotage)
Sneak Attack - Spawns a large tunnel exit to allow units to unload from a tunnel network
Kamikaze Plane - Large plane filled with explosives flies to the large AoE and kamikaze dives to the ground causing large explosion damage.


DEMO Generals Upgrades -

From the Palace (tech centre 1):
Worker shoes. (increases worker speed and productivity - more supplies gathered)
Armour Piercing Bullets - 25% damage to units that use bullets (quad cannon, rebel etc)
Junk Repair - All units self repair
Fortify Structure - Provides additional armour to buildings
Demolitions ability - All structures and units can explode and suicide on command

From the SCUD launcher (tech centre 2)
Dirty bomb - bomb truck and exploding units leave radiation
High explosive bomb - 100% more damage for bomb truck


DEMO GENERAL BUILDINGS (only new buildings have been screenshotted here. Standard GLA buildings haven't been taken, apart from 1 or 2 which are important)

Mobile supply stash and workers. Can purchase Salvage drop from here - 12 salvage crates drop to target location for your units to pick up and upgrade their weapons. Also Cash Transfer is here - allows you to drop 5K resources anywhere on the map. Good for Co-op.

Heavy Defences. From left to right: Heavy flak battery. Can take out medium and some bigger aircraft in one shot. Very powerful. long range. Fires heavy AT flak shells to ground targets. On the right the "Blue moon" SCUD launcher - very long range. Fires 2 SCUD missiles to the target which causes explosion damage and releases mini cluster bomblets which damage anything they land on. (takes out light vehicles and infantry in one)

SCUD launcher super weapon in action. Each SCUD missile causes very high Explosion damage, leaves behind radiation and throws out 5 very high explosive barrels randomly around it causing splash damage. 9 SCUD missiles in total = total annihilation

Demo gens last building, superweapon 2 and final tech centre, the "Martyr's Call". One of the most terrifying Superweapons you will encounter in the game... or as we like to call it, "The Temple of Boom". has an Enormous AoE, that can cover the size of a base. It spawns many many sneak attacks all over (which cannot be destroyed) and out come more bomb trucks, terrorist bikes and terrorists that you can imagine. They will swarm you base and blow up anything they encounter; units or buildings. It also calls in Suicide planes to randomly drop and explode in the target area.

Demo Gens infantry. All can be build in squads of 5. The two squads of infantry on the left hand side of the picture are a squad of terrorists, and demo's equivalent of the "angry mod" - a mob of suiciding infantry. On the right of the picture we have squads of RPG troopers, Stinger Troopers (AA infantry) and rebels.

All of Demo's units FULLY SALVAGED. Starting at the very back and working forward. At the back are the two suicide units. The Nuke truck and bomb truck. Do exactly what it says on the tin. (See nuke truck below). The middle row of units from left to right are, Battle bus, quad cannon, SCUD launcher (works as artillery. High explosion damage and releases cluster bombs), Dana Artillery (fires HE shell at long range), Mortar buggy (fires HE shell at medium range, early game artillery. Low health), Marauder with gunner upgrade on back and marauder with stinger upgrade on the back, and on the far right the cockroach. Light tank. (Fires 2 tank shells, or can toggle to be a suicide unit). At the very front from left to right we have the Technical, the combat bikes (50. cal bike, RPG biker, terrorist biker and saboteur), and last but not least Demo's super powerful tank; the Cruiser. Strong vs everything and armed to the teeth. Armed with; 2 anti tank cannons, 2 HE mortars, a poison sprayer, a chain gun (for shooting Aircraft) and 6 High Explosive rockets with long range.

No seriously, you didn't believe me? It's a full size nuke. You can build them. Very lethal. Detonates when killed. You don't want them around your forces or your base when it goes off.

everything exept the t2 sw(as i don't like to see religious buildings in games)looks awesome

"The Temple of Boom" is just a play on words... it's not actually called that. It came from some joking around as I couldn't remember the name of it and called it the Temple of Doom...Ever seen Indiana Jones? ... But then realised that "boom" is more fitting than "doom"...

well when the senior leaders of Al Qaeda and every other major terrorist network refer to themselves first as Clerics it makes it difficult to say theres not a connection. Religion does not in any way lead to Terrorism.. but Terrorists use Religion as a weapon against their own people.

Between now and the next polished release there should be very little new art work done. Instead the focus is on designing, testing, and fixing. the mod has always been so close to finished that its nearly criminal. I'd love to see this through to the end with a real community effort.

Nearly all of this stuff you can see in contra mod... (including cruiser tank which belong to assault general [DESERT CRUISER really funny unit - GLA overlord edition :) ])

In my opinion, dont kill me for this... :p
I would like to suggest that Nuke truck(i know it will be expensive) is really unfair unit (if will be so fast and "cloaked when moving" like in contra...) by using this truck you can kill every "turtle player" effortlessly and clear base (depends on map) with 2-3 of them. But i love it in contra and i will in remix even more. :sad: I will wait for rest of GLA generals if they will be serious enemies.

Great work after 4 years for this best mod for one of the best RTS. :grin: :wub: :wub:

Turtlers will feel the wrath of the nuke truck. Hard. It's what they get for turtling.

You can only get the nuke trucks at end game. So that is tech 3, with final super weapon built. That is A LOT of time, and money invested. It’s over$50,000 just to get to that stage. Remember the cost and build time of each nuke truck is balanced out. They are around $3000 each. Possibly more.

For Demo general the bulk of the units are in Contra... however his play and flow is completely different. A couple rounds with him can show you this right away. He has powerful suicide units, but he is not heavily dependent on them. Also, I think Olli may have left out the airfield... GLA has a new 3 plane dirt airfield and new aircraft.

Everything looks great except the small round puffs of smoke on the HE rocket battery base defense. Something odd about it...
