I got plans to script a bit myself, but I fear that to get this game as far as possible, it would be optimal for us to have a 100% scripter so that we 3d-artists can do what we know best.

Thus I'm starting with creating a small thread here, and if need be, I'll spread the word some more later on.
What we are looking for is someone with interest in programming in unity3d: it accepts javascript, c# and Boo, a python language. Personally I'd like to use javascripts, but since scripts of different languages can work together in unity3d that shouldn't be the biggest problem.

As a scripter you would get the job of creating the basic game-design code, character movement, basic enemy AI, animation integration and the likes. We might have a few words about how the game-design should be, but there will be some creative freedom.

not much of a false hope when I instantly see the entire reply and I can tell by skimming there's a caveat at the end of it :thumbsupsmiley:

I know the problem so no problem. We all got our priorities

We should ask Torn, or YOU should ask Torn, since you know all the technical bits..

Yeah, I'll ask him, but you said he sounded more like a UT-dude than a unity-dude. Eh, I'll spam him.

Well I was going to make your eyes go splat with our website and shit, but yeah that sort of recruitment works too :p

If it happens that I'm not around on friday just go through the shit I've put as homework earlier on, to learn the basics of unity. Shouldn't take more than an hour or two and it really helps learning how things stick together. When I, a douche with merely a few classes of basic Java programming and a bit more in flash actionscripting, think that this is a very simple program to script in, then it should be a cakewalk for someone with a bit more education.
