Remember the early video and pics of AW, the placeholding model of defensive structures are only pathetic brick-like? today we proudly display the new face of our protectors!

VADS Emplacement, good against infantry and aircrafts, weak against heavy armor vehicles.(BTW, there is a animation for the ammo belt, too bad it's hard to notice unless ingame)

FAC() Tower, can give hell to a bunch of enemies, but with long fire delay.

and, not a defensive structure, but the supply depot is critical to your warmachine, for supplies stocked here, and collected by your supply trucks.

also check my MODDB page for the rendering video:

the turret is very target specific in the demo. infantry it pure and simple rapes, no chance unless at least a dozen are attacking. i hope the missile has a real effect because other than infantry, its armor is to pathetic and weapon to pitiful to stand any chance.

There will be more potent AA defenses coming in later versions, as of vulcan turrets they are already too powerful against air targets for a T1 structure. And anyway autocannons are never meant to tear aircraft apart in seconds or have crazy range like in Generals, that's the job for SAMs and Patriots.

o yes. bullets are aweful for taking out anything faster than a helicopter, and even then. it takes thousands of rounds. however youve got to remember that while they are in no way fragile, planes can easily be downed by one missile. more if there are counter measures. how strong will the AA missiles be? thanks for humoring my questions.

That would have to be decided upon the next release. But rest assured that they will be quite capable at keeping aircraft at bay.
