I'm not too sure about the first picture (the gates) but it might be the angle... it look a bit like on the other side of the gate is a cliff face. Having said that, the terrain/textures look nice on that pic and on all the other pics it looks like a really awesome map. The bridge looks amazing too.

I sure hope this map can work with the vanilla game ..
If its for a mod then please make a Standalone version

Very detailed: I'm especially impressed by Turin's Bridge. Are units able to walk the walls on the side of the causeway, or are they just for show?

Unit can't walk on sides of Turin's bridge...=)
But in the final version i can replace the Turin's bride with the second bridge that i show you...is much playable.
