The longarm

This time it's the longarm. It's basically a spearman/archer type with ranged attacks. It's replacing the spearman from the enemies thread (http://forums.revora...showtopic=76680)
Here's the concept so far!

The bow seems pretty short. Why not a longbow to go with the long arms?

I agree the longer bow would be more appropriate! I'll definitely fix that when modeling! Thanks for the references!
Again, I'm drowning in more work. Seems like crunch time is just around the corner when you're making personal stuff.. Sigh.. I got a couple of hours of work done sunday night, but I don't reckon that enough to show yet.

And so.. I've been making some progress on the longarm since last time. I consider myself done with the lowpoly and the uv's, while the highpoly is about 90% done.
Here's a non-realtime spin of the character with some compositing (I couldn't help myself!)
And a closeup of the head with variations
Okaai.. Well, Baking and highpoly of the helmet is still in progress.. Oh, and the weapons, of course! I'll probably get to work much more now that I'm over the project from hell and all alone in the aparment (there was somewhat of a couchsurfer here for a month, but that's a bit off topic, I guess..)

I finished baking all maps few hours ago.. Here's the result! (now with awesome logo in the corner!)
Specs are roughly the same as the guard (1024x1024 textures, ~3970 tris)
Texture is in progress! (as well as fixing some normal map bugs and stuff)

Anyway! Texture update! I'm about to finish the color map, which I think turned out kinda cool. Alot of obvious seams left.. I'll get those in the morining! Here's a gif-spin!
I guess I should mention that this spin had about 50% ambient illumination to give some GI'ish impressions. As the texture matches the normal map, it should work under most other lighting circumstances.
Also, the actual texture sheet looked a bit cool, so I'll post it here if anyone's interested or anything..
(may be a tad bit green. I've got two screens here producing very different results)
And I have not forgotten the armguard nor the quiver! Well, actually, I did forget them, but when I remembered it I had just finished packing the uv's for all the other objects.. So I'll do them when I get to the weapons instead!
And both the charcter and normal map will probably "pop" alot more once the spec-map is in place
