Why do AIs sell their Command Centers?

Let me first just say: HOOORAY for a completely fantastic MOD! The Contra Mod is by far the best and the hardest mod for C&CGZH! And I have played this game from the very beginning, so I know. End of praise (for now).
My situation: I uninstalled the original gameinstallation (C&CG+C&CGZH Deluxe + patch1.04) and all the mods I had installed, like Shockwave, Third Reich, Rise of the Reds, and even Contra. WHY? The reason: the game crashed too often with the usual "serious error" sign shown on the desktop. So, I decided to reinstall the game(s).
I was forced to use the First Decade installation disc instead of the Deluxe package, because of a busted disc. Anyhow, I reinstalled it, installed Contra and started it up. My problem: on every map I ever play, (except the 1vs1-maps) atleast one of the enemy AI armies sell their Command Centers at the start of the game. This mean that many AI armies die/disappear long before they even start to be an active force on the map.
HOW CAN THIS BE?? I have searched/googled several times for answers to this problem, but found NOTHING. Anyone have a solution?

Here, check out the Contra site for the patches that Creator posts often enough. http://contra.cncgui...t/Eng/index.php
I think it is because you have the original ZH scripts in, i do not know how this happened but you can try downloading the fixed installer off the site as well and try that too.
Also, how can this be happening if there is no sell button on ANY of the buildings in Contra?

Many thanks for the link. I'll look into it.
I remembered one more situation that puzzled me: I ran a 3player map, againt two AI opponents. They were not teamed up. At the start of the game one of the two AI's sold their Command Centers and died. But I decided not to care, and instead started to play against the surviving one, a China Infantry army. I managed to beat that army almost completely. I was in his base and was ready to give the final blow, when suddenly that army's Command center AND a Supply Center (the only 2 surviving buildings) also started to disappear as if sold!
So, I "won". I didn't have that end in mind, when I started the game. Is this perhaps a clue to what's causing it?

The installer did not delete the original ZH AI Scripts, so it causes glitches like this. There are special scripts for Contra that were not put in.

Launcher might not work with the First Decade. Contra launcher would put the mod files into ZH dir and rename the script files inside Data\Scripts folder within ZH dir. If you have installed it manually and forgotten this, then you just need to rename them or remove them.
Thanks for the tip. It sounds like a quite technical solution but, I'll give it a try! I'm not famous for my comptech skills though...
I might, at the same time, have found the solution. I went through Creator's bug solution page, and in one sentence he talks about that the file "SkirmishScripts.scb" shouldn't be in the data-folder of the ZH dir. So I removed it, and put it in a external folder for C&CGZH material. After that IT WORKED! Ok, the AI lost some of its ferociousness, but the game worked... until it crashed from "serious error" after nearly three hours playing. Phew...

The serious error normally happens when there are tons of units on the field, it is still an issue that is needed to be solved

Yes! It's a standing joke among some of my friends: "If Skynet and its forces needs to be taken down someday, just install C&C Generals Zero Hour + mod and start playing an 8-player map - they won't stand a chance!".
Seriously, this issue is as old as the mother game. It started in 2003 and still there's not an ordinary computer out there which can deal with this...!
