If not, then do you have any mods installed that alter the original game directory (ones that aren't done using the -mod command)

P.S.
Originally the shadows mod gave me a path error saying that it couldn't locate the BFME executable on the C drive, but I resolved this by changing the path to the G drive since I have it installed on a USB drive instead of on the actual hard drive.

All I had to do was go into the folder containing the BFME launcher .exe and I created a shortcut of it and add the -mod thing and when I double clicked on it the game loaded perfectly fine. So for some reason or another there was something wrong with the Shadows of Evil shortcut.
P.S. I had a similar problem with Kings of the West, but I fixed that one too (fixed it the same way I fixed Shadows of Evil).

Nevermind, I was able to fix it so it works fine now. Thanks for your help anyway.
