Should Kwen do the lazy thing and choose the much faster method, although sacrifice quality and visual appeal for speed and efficiency?

So, the quick way, which will make things happen faster, you guys will get to see more in less time.

Or the much more time consuming and tedious way, but will look far better, and be much more visually pretty... :p

Kwen should do what he wants, and base the production speed of his mod around the anticipated amounts of free time available to him.

Who cares what we think, it's your mod. These are your decisions to make.

Because I'm sick of having most (if not all) of my activity being quiet and behind the curtains. I'm making an effort to involve the community more and listen to opinions and take suggestions. To try to give the people what they want better.

it may be my mod, but it's not a personal mod. If I wanted a mod for only my enjoyment, I wouldn't be here now. (In this sub forum)

I say take your time. It may mean that the fans need to wait longer, but they'll have a more satisfying product in the end. :p

Careful. This link is DANGEROUS. Do NOT click it. This one, however, is fine.

You should complete the necessary stuff in your own pace, not in ours.

Well now, Matias is right

For T4A I spend time on the ones I really want beautiful and lovely.. I spend less time on those not as important, and less on the less important there again, and so on untill I basically mass-produce skins of poor quality, like my Haradrim skins. I want to have awesome haradrims in my mod, but I just lose motivation when I fail at it, so I simply speed up the process to keep myself going.

And of course, there's always the time when all you do is coding, you'll be able to upgrade some of those fast units, and you'll acctually gain motivation, because coding-only can be so dull! :p
That's why I will always do and complete one unit at a time, with powers and all. If I wait with it, it'll be a nightmare later (ala my Rohan heroes.. good thing I'm a fast coder ;))

So, simply do as you feel for. I don't you to go LW on us, but I also don't want RA progress (I would've said TDH, but Nertea is god on that -.-).. so, do what you feel for the moment. I think it's good to have some crap that can be upgraded when you feel for it (how fun is it to have everything set in stone after your first time on them..?)

Since BFME is old, it will always be losing interest. More and more players will be dropping out by the weeks or days. This is just the way it is. To rekindle that interest, it's better to get the goods out. Having completed units and balanced teams is more important than having all/both/one of the factions you're working on incomplete, while the other half of those factions looking like a marvelous army. I've played many mods in my time, and the ones that didn't have appeal were the ones I couldn't play - because the factions were incomplete.

In six months time you may have the best and most visually stunning mod, but if most of its fans have 'moved on', then I'm sure that would be disappointing. However, if you release the mod, with poorer skins, then slowly work on each skin and do incremental updates (how incremental is up to you), that would be far better imo.

Also, lastly, you may lose motivation or you may go through a busier period of your life if you take the slower route, so that's something else you can bear in mind.

Just my two cents..

If it's only the visuals, I don't care so much. As long as the gameplay is good I'm happy. That's my view on games in general.
Greetings, community.

Kwen, you just dropped everything when TPW came on the scene, it's kinda sad...
