After 3½ years, since I posted the request in Staff forums... the model made by TheDeadPlayer back in those days are FINALLY rigged, thanks to Ridder Geel! :p Sorry about all these screens, but I just love this caracter even though we had to scrap the long chain and all the anims it would require. This is still a nice model easily recognizeable from the first movie =) With this guy, Moria will have a real counter part to powerful heroes, as Moria doesn't really pose that many themselves... "Mr Cave Troll" will have Leadership to all Cave Trolls and Mountain Giants, as well as Domiate Troll spell for Lairs =) Sort of like Mollock for Mordor, only not quite as powerful in melee... I'll ask Ridder Geel to rig a Mollock model for us as well, since he did this so perfectly :p

Ah yes, a terrific addition. Great job RG.

Any chance you can add his mum as some sort of easter egg, like PJ said in the audio commentary?

Hm, I thought I rigged one before I left?
As a sign of good will, "I will atleast leave a completely binded model to the original skeleton, in case I don't finish the anims"

Oh well, I can't remember if I acctually did that so :p

Hehe nah, I wouldn't have missed that... :p I think you said you would yes, but you got caught up in something else, and then I didn't want to bug you about it. Never mind though, I'm just glad the model's finally finished to be coded into game =)

If you'd like to do something for SEE again some day, we could use your goblins on the RotWK wolves, that are currently using the ugly orc models. If not, we'll get to it eventually :p

Pretty sweet troll. Couldn't you add the Balrog's Whip Animation for the cave trolls whip, like an ability (not toggle)? I really don't care if the whip is in the mod or not, but I am just saying...

Well the models are quite different and anims can't just be ported like that. It requires a lot of rigging (binding the model to the bones of the skeleton using the anim you want).

SEE is certainly back!
Ignited into the world in a flash of lightning, it gleams faintly in the heart of its mother, wood. It begins as an ember, a mere wisp of heat and colour. Its chance of survival at this critical moment is minute, yet it fights on, against the unforgiving cold, against the depths of night and against its mortal enemy: rain.

Mollock :p
How fun :p
Lets see if i can bind him in less than 20 minutes :D
Should be doable in less than 10 if he doesnt show too many problems :)

Hehe I bet... I tried to code him and hiding meshes, but for some reason the parts show up in game with loads of black meshes/bugs... Darn EA ;p

Excellent model , Nazgûl ! I'm really happy that you can work back on your mod , hope the new beta will come soon ! I have a question though : do you plan to make your cave troll going berserk if he badly wounded ? I mean , like in the first movie , he gave hits to goblins or getting very angry when he's hurt by arrows or so . :p

Cool :p I love your mod ,honestly , it's one of the few which is very realistic and no spam at all !. The first mod who put a Cave Troll hero !! finally ! :p but he would be expensive , do I'm wrong ? because if he's efficient against heroes ,so the price would be high .

Well that makes sense.:p I was just throwing something out there, I have no idea how to mod :p.

How do you mod out of a can anyway?

Now I'm tempted to do a little trolling in this thread. :p

looks lovely, Naz. Great to see some work on the mod again. As always if you need powers to fill in the slots or other ideas like spellbooks or heroes, my tech tree thread is collecting dust in the development section.

Me night need ieas yes... we'll get to hero powers later though, when all heroes are added. Otherwise we'd have to go back and forth in coding. I like things structures and organized :p And yes, the Cave Troll hero will probably be closest to Shelob in cost =)
