I'm trying to make a single player map where you have to defend the fortress from Mordor. However, I don't want a camp/outpost inside the fortress, so I tried to make the Orthanc as my citadel. I have named it BASE_FLAG_1 and given it to Player_1/teamPlayer_1 and put the waypoint: Player_1_Start on top of it. But it does not work :( .

Is there a script that I have to create to make this work, or something in map.ini that I have to do?

Thanks for your help,

(Hopefully I didn't misunderstand your problem).
You don't need any scripts or coding. Click the waypoint so the "waypoint options" box appears, you will see the options menu in it, and by default you have the waypoint value set as "Normal", change it to "Beacon". :ermm: Now it won't spawn the default fortress there, only the builders.

From the ashes a fire shall be woken, a light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be the blade that was broken, the crownless again shall be king.

I don't think I have made my self very clear. When I select the map in Skirmish, there is no starting point. When the game starts, it starts on the other side of the map, and I do not have anybody. I cannot control the gate, it is as if I am just spectating.

I hope this makes my problem a bit clearer, if not, just ask! :ermm:

Okay so you have a fortress map, and you can't control the citadel and the gate? :ermm:

I can't control anything, its like I am spectating. This is for BFME1 btw. And also there is no starting point.

Sorry, I haven't used the BFME1 worldbuilder for ages so I'm kinda useless now. But I do remember something... have you given the fortress to Player_1 Inherit?

You've definitely used Player_1_Inherit and not Player_1/teamPlayer_1 as you said in your first post? Are you definitely using the IsengardTowerOfOrthanc model and not the MPSA or MPSB models?

Are you building this map from scratch? Because if not, this multiplayer version of EA's Isengard works fine.

Otherwise, try using the standard Isengard citadel rather than Orthanc, just to see if it works.
