hi, my mod (war of the ring) needs a mapper or 2 as the main part of the mod is thwe quest. And maps will be needed for this as i don't want to have theoretical battles

I was looking at the ins and outs to it but in the end the campaign seemed impossible to me as i cant do mapping (and i have tried but it seems to be a thing i wasnt cut out for) and no one wants to help so its a bit pointless lol

I know what you mean. I'm not much of a mapper myself and have never gotten someone to do it more me.

Unfortunately the age of great mappers such as HighElvenLord, Puppeteer, and Pasidon (to name a few) has passed for BFME. Now more then ever due to the closing down of the servers. I'm sure there may be a few mappers laying around here or there but alas.

Uh... Right. Well, I personally despise the BFME editor and refuse to work with it *says while in-between maps I'm editing* And I've come to the conclusion that if I want to make a mod that requires much mapping it will not be for BFME.

But your mod does require lots of mapping as it is mainly a campaign based mod

My mod? No it's not. It's mainly a multiplayer/skirmish mod, but I want people to be able to play campaign if they want. So I'm fixing the campaign up with balance and whatnot, not a lot of mapping. I'm altering the map.ini files for all the campaign maps, and mostly all I do in the editor is adjust it for day/night cycle, and I'm bringing the camera out a little bit more like a modern RTS, but there's no texturing or advanced scripting or anything like that.

Perhaps I mentioned I was playing through the campaign, and this is true, although I have restarted several times. This is mostly so I can get a feel for all the units and things a little at a time, I can set up the campaign while fixing a lot of the issues with the core units and adding all the new mechanics and things. By the time I play through the campaign without any problems it will be ready for skirmish testing.

Very. I'd say it's one of the most challenging things in modding, just because the editor is so poor, and the texturing is ridiculous. It means you need actual skill to make a map. It's not for me.

I can make maps or so i think i can if u want i can help u i already have made a few maps for a war of ring as i used RJ mod witch his war of ring was epic around 120 territoies but he dint have maps for all of them so i have made a few my self and placed them in it i would post this but i dont know if it be classed as copy right anyways il help with ur map making if u want.
