I agree that there should be stars, because stars are awesome. I would suggest a night-day cycle, but that would probably be a bit much...

The issue also is how to change the skyboxes from day to night without it looking like crap.

Well I think nobody will regret if there would be a day-night cycle even if it looks like crap. just give more reality to the game. But there are more things to have in mind when adding this cycle. For example I mean when night comes cities should light the torches or something like that, and on daylight turn off the torches.
I agree this is not an easy regret.

Realism isn't always good if the execution is poor. I know this from experience.

There is also the issue of shadow effects. It does look weird to have the same type of shadows during day and night. Also, shadow positions would not change throughout the day. The night-day cycle is simply too much of a bother at the moment.

Any chance we could see some screenshots of Aragorn and the yeoman archers? Also, there is a visual glitch when the dismounted Royal Guards and possibly the Elven Warriors toggle their weapons. I can't really describe it, but look very closely at the units when you toggle their weapons.

Elven warriors do not have any visual toggle glitch that I know of. Now the dismounted royal guards are another story :p It actually has to do with the animations they use. Faramir's animations have a glitch with the arrow object during toggle. Actually, if you look closely at Faramir, the only times you see an arrow is during his firing animations. When running around, he does not have anything on his bow. This was problematic for the fire subobject added to the royal guards. The only time you will see the fire is during the attacking animations. Now, for Faramir's toggle animations, the arrow was not hidden properly. As such, you will see the arrow pop up besides Faramir for a brief moment. This becomes more pronounced with the fire subobject added. To make a long story short, EA's Faramir animations are messed up. :p I suppose I can look and see if I can edit the animations, but it is at the bottom of my priority list at the moment.

I will see if I can get some screenshots of Aragorn and the yeoman archers.

Medium good campaign stuff I noticed:

Starting with wave two, the forces of the black gate don't really empty to attack me. I had to go in there and clear them out. The first wave of nazgul came without a problem, but the rest of the troops didn't. It stayed like this until the giant wave of mumakil and evil men I think.

In Mirkwood, I went to the top right where I think thranduil was, but I couldn't recruit him. I was actually running over his troops with my cavalry, although they weren't enemies and were stealthed anyway. I went there with a rohan army if that makes a difference.

Dudes and what about some new texture at Rohan Royal Guard neck.I mean i don't wan to pe rude but when I play this great mod i don't know why but i see a diference between the new mod units and the original game units.The animation is great but i thik the texutre is , maybe different of the game model, but i think i m wrong :facepalm:

Good evening to everyone

1) I wonder if we could have "Mouth OF Sauron" at the beginning the black gate when the first wave comes out
i know that this mod is not here to create new models, but this hero is already in bfme 2!
Is it possible to import him from there!!

2) Is there a possibility to add more maps to the existing good campaign;
For example after Moria i could have a quick battle with elves defending Rivendell from Moria goblins orcs and cave trolls!
in that way we could play the elven faction with all its powers to the campaign!

1. It's possible, just not legal. Others can explain it to you better.

2. That depends on the people developing TEA, if they want to add an Elven mission/campaign, then they will (or atleast try) but it wont happen. Why might you ask? Because TEA:CE was created to tie the loose ends in the mod that Celeglin left when he left. So.... Yeah..

About the first i don't think that EA will even bother about that one.We are talking about 2 products from the same company!!
If EA has a problem with that give them credits :crazed:

About the mod (campain)
1) In Mirkwood at the outpost near the elven base (where Thranduil arrives)
is it possible to built an elven outpost instead of rohan/gondor one;
(if we have only elves near it when is not built) :blink:
i wonder if we could have the castle of Dol Guldur (and the walls) instead, as a mordor base.

2) maybe we could have gollum at northern ithilien

3) At dunharrow if we could have more warg riders.

4) At the living world map can you add Gothmog and Grond at one of the two main mordor armies that will attack minas tirith and if possible change the numbers of the orcs cause 2500 is way too small compared to what we are dealing when the actual battle takes place. I know is just an eye candy (same goes for isengard armies and the second harad army)!!
5) after cirith ungol can you add frodo to the fellowship (only sam appears)

Doesn't matter if the game is made by the same company, they still don't like it and it's illegal. Why? No clue. Something about backwards engineering (or something like that) isn't allowed.

Who said that we needed to add camera scripts into every map? Simply put the scripts in a library such as object_lists, and they will import in every map. Will save some time for _Haldir_. :p Now to tackle those skyboxes...
