Just wanted to give everyone a heads up on the forum skin. ;)

With the new forum upgrade implemented, the T3A skin will have to be updated and manually inserted in again. I have no clue how long this will take so don't expect any miracles. ;) I would like to have it up and running as soon as possible though. Just have to find the time to sit down and put another T3A skin together.

Are you planning to bring back the old colour scheme, Rob?

It might be worth while to consider something lighter, to get a wider range of colours for the text ... something like a skin with 'parchment' look would work well, I believe.

Anyway, whatever you do, it's nice that you take on you the trouble of restoring the skin; what we have now is rather boring, and anything will be an improvement. Thanks

Why not changing from the old Mordor Theme and going for a Good theme like Rivendell or something.

That was my idea

I agree though, i think maybe a light brown/parchment sort of Minas Tirith skin might look nice. Is it possible to have multiple skins that can be switched between?

Something like this?

IPB with LOTR theme (examples originally posted by Nazgûl):

The downside to this is of course, that in old posts some text highlighted with yellow will be almost unreadable, but I believe we'll be able to live with that.

I stated in another thread that for $200 and the exported original T3A skin, we can have a person do the work on converting it to IPB 3. Does anyone have a pristine exported copy of the lastest version of the T3A skin?

http://www.ipbforums...com/upgrade.php

I'm willing to pay if someone can send me the exported forum skin for T3A. Oops! Did someone forget to export all the skins before upgrading the forums?

Isn't that a little expensive?

Are you paying or am I? If cost is not an issue that what was your question again?

Well I'm just saying, plus wouldn't it just be easier for Rob38 to make a new one?

What is easier Spart? To ask Rob to spend many hours reconstructing the T3A skin or me Paypal somebody $200 and have it get done so he can focus on his life?

It's not, all skins were exported before the upgrade. He was just guessing/joking.

Still, $200 is a whole lot of money we could spend on more important things that we can't do ourselves (such as server costs). But Hostile is free to spend his money on whatever he wants, obviously.

Is it possible to make only the user area (the background for the posts) somewhat lighter in the old T3A skin, and keeping the rest as it was before the upgrade?

I agree with Phil. It's a handsome sum of money that can be better spent on other things, or not at all.

After all, we want Rob's AI to stay top notch, so we should give him the time it needs for it to be done
Personally, I kinda like this skin. Still, I usually really like the "basic" skins when the T3A ones come out.. ;)

I get it, sorry I offered. Do anything possible but let Eric help T3A. Make sure you separate Eric from T3A as much as possible. So people forget I'm the guy who founded it, It's OK. I understand. History is written by the victors.

I wasn't planning on spending the money on Revora, I simply decided to make your job easier. But seeing as you'd rather not have my help. Than I understand, it's not the help you are turning down, it's the fact it's coming from me.

That's so not what this is about. I'm just saying that IF you want to give money, we could use it better in other places. But if that's the one thing you're willing to spend it on, by all means, go ahead.
$200 for server > $200 for skin creation > $0
