I'm starting a new topic for the updates from now on.
The General discussion will be more for discussion and announcements.

So to get the ball rolling I have the first official render from the Fiefdoms faction.
The newly remade Lossarnach Axemen.
I only just finished him after hours of work, but it paid off.

Posted Image

The Lossarnach Axemen is going to be the first taster for what's to come for Beta 0.4 and The Fiefdoms.
Fiefdoms will have a lot of variation to their designs and will have strong motifs.

I'll post some screens of him soon.

Update time once again.

This work was done the day after the Lossarnach Axeman but I didn't get around to prepping the update and uploading.

Brace yourselves there's a few here.

First off is the Pinnath Gelin Warrior.
pinnathrender.jpg

The first of the Fiefdom Buildings.
Fiefdom Barracks
fiefdombarrackrender.jpg

The Fiefdom Guard House
This is the building from which the Elite Fiefdom units are built.
fiefdomgrdhserender.jpg

Tower Guard reskin.
towergrdrender.jpg

Next I have a preview of the Withered Heath map I've been working on.
It's changed a bit since here but it will give you an idea of the layout.
with_heath_prev01.jpg
with_heath_prev02.jpg

Lastly is the final Fiefdom update.
I left this one last for a reason.
fiefdombnrrender.jpg
As you may be able to tell the Pinnath Gelin Banner on the Right has no logo.
Other than the White Tree the reason for this is because I'm holding a design competition for the Pinnath Gelin Banner.

The PG design will be used on the Banner Carriers, the Fiefdom Guardhouse banner and probably for some props down the track.

I'm opening this competition for 2 weeks closing on the 25th.

The guidelines for the design are:
Image should be 256 squared.
Should be in white and still feature the white tree above the logo (like Lossarnach's).
For some information on Pinnath Gelin check out Namo's lore topic on the matter here.

So show me what you've got.

Another update should be coming soon, possibly tonight.

I am no good when it comes to logos, but if there's some need for some unit concepts I'll give it a try, extra detailed unlike my other rivendell captain :)

An old image, but in similar style, I'll try make something new if you want.

I was playing around with Saturation on the banners the other day but for some reason the current look is the only one I like.
It's vivid, but it does seem to scream hey look at me",I'm a new faction".

Not really since they are wooden.
Once you see the shields in game you'll get why the metal versions are heavy armour.

Hmmm... About black vs metallic shields. A couple of years ago I bought some Lord of the Rings play along Armies of Middle Earth figures ( I collect figures ). And I noticed that the shield of the gondor soldiers were not black but metallic.

Here's the figures I am refering to, if anyone also have them Posted Image

they aren't, if you watch ROTK, at the scene where faramir and his knights are riding out, you will notice a close up from a gondorian soldier from behind. There you can see that the shields are made from wood.
