Well i've stumbled across another problem. I made my model and tried it out ingame and its invisible, I can see the shadow of the unit but nothing else. I followed very closely the tutorials on how to model and properly bind the unit and in w3d viewer everything works fine. The animations are all good. And i'm pretty sure i added it to the asset.dat correctly. I dont know what i'm doing wrong, hopefully you guys can help me, I'd really appreciate it.
This is for BFME1 btw.

Did you try to make an asset? Also for some reason if you name the model more than 15 letters, it doesn't show up ingame.

Ya I made an asset.dat. For now i'm just storing my mod files in the main bfme directory so I appended it to the existing asset.dat. And the file name is only 9 letters (finaltest.w3d). I guess I might just hafta remake the model and bind everything again

if it works in the w3d viewer, it should work in-game if you make the asset.dat correctly :p
Try making it again. Put it inside a art\texture\ folder to make sure the path is correct ;)

I went over and redid the asset.dat and made sure i did it correctly and the model still didnt show up, just the shadow. so I just decided to start over, remake the whole model and now its working fine.

did you rename the model at all....renaming it will cause that to happen!( i think)

Yes that is right, renaming the model will mess it up, you can still import it and such, but ingame it will not work, and usually also not in the w3d viewer.

So maybe you didn't bind something right or you made a mistake somewhere :) Normally you should go back to see what was wrong so if you ever encounter it again it may be solved without an isue :D

ok thanks guys for the replies. As far as I knew before, renaming it wouldnt cause any problem, so thanks for clarifying that. It'll help me avoid later modeling problems.
And ya Unknown i'm assuming I must've not binded something correctly which was causing the issue.

I think, you forgot to tick off the Export Transform (Bone) setting. It might've been the problem, not sure.

Oh well, you got it working, and didn't give up :)

I have faced with the same problem recently. Are there any other ways of solving it excepting the remaking of the model?

Well, I did not try to rename it yet, but my model is separated to two different parts linked to two different WWSkins: one of them is Goblin rider, and another is Warg, instead of one object. Could this be the reason? And, if yes, how is it possible to join them without total remaking?

I have solved the problem partly. I have called the rider object as "Goblinswordsmanh Mesh" instead of "Goblinswordsmanh", but now I have another thing to think about:

How is it possible to make the rider visible?

If you use Sy's assetbuilder, you have to keep the name in one part, so it's "Goblinswordsmanhmesh" instead of "Goblinswordsmanh Mesh" :p

And no, you don't have to have only one object for it to work, you can have as many as you'd like ;)
It's acctually a great idea to have a separate Warg and Goblin, because they don't use the same texture

Thank you, Lauri! I found it easier to bind two different objects to two different WWSkins.
I made some experiments and found that the model turns invisible when it has the BOUNDINGBOX object. Otherwise rider is invisible.
Does someone know, what does it mean?

the bounding box that appears around the body is what links you clicking the model if you click the bounding box on the model you select the model itself

if you mean the setting read what i was telling you above:
the AABox is what i was talking about that is the setting used to make a bounding box a bounding box! as you can tell the bounding box does not appear ingame, so if your model is checked as bounding box...it will appear invisible

Yes, I know. Well the problem was that I did not refresh the asset.dat.
