Hello,
is there a way to script the day time to have something like : if player 1 builds upgrade_mordorfaction then daytime = night ? I have only found the "gradually interpolate all the scene lights to...", but that seems not to be what I want.
What I want to do... having already made workin evil textures for Minas Tirith that show with the basic evil faction upgrade, I would also like to have the battles of Minas Tirith faught at night if Minas Tirith is occupied by evil forces ; and during the day for Minas Morgul in the opposite case.

I wanted to do the same on my minas tirith map that i am creating but I havent found any script that could make smth. like this enywhere.
do you want this in bfme 1 or 2???
what you could do is make the mordor darkness effect in your ini.big darker and then let mordor use this power at the time you want (with scripts and timers or smth like that).
or like you said change the light option that makes some difference too... and than also darkness, could make a good effect.
I stayed by the darknesseffect. It isn't like it is really night but a little difference:)

One thing you should learn to use is map.ini
you could do it that way INSTEAD of screwing up your main file.. lol

try making a script like
Script 1 If player x controls certain building
then activate gradually interpolate all light yadayadayada
